Disclosed is a method of gathering data from a hybrid RFID chip to determine usage of an item or article of clothing using a mobile device like a phone, laptop, or tablet. The hybrid RFID chip consists of a processor, a memory, a radio transceiver, a power harvesting antenna, and an impedance circuit that converts ambient radio frequency (RF) energy to electrical energy. The RFID chip receives a first power level from ambient RF energy and periodically broadcasts an identity. The mobile device can receive the broadcast identity, store the identity, transmit the identity and location to a remote server, and receive a notification message from the remote server. The remote serve can determine usage of the item or article of clothing by comparing current records to previous records of RFID chip identity, location, and mobile device application identity.

RFID device with two-stage power harvesting

Provider Edge (PE) circuitry transfers a PE Hardware Trust (HWT) hash to a controller. The controller verifies PE HWT based on the PE HWT hash and transfers a Trusted Execution Environment Identifier (TEE ID), PE ID, PE HWT certificate, and PE keys to the PE circuitry. Customer Edge (CE) circuitry transfers a CE HWT hash to the controller. The controller verifies CE HWT based on the CE HWT hash and transfers the TEE ID, CE ID, CE HWT certificate, and CE keys to the CE circuitry. The PE circuitry and the CE circuitry exchange and verify their HWT certificates based on their keys. The PE circuitry encrypts and decrypts user data based on the PE keys. The PE circuitry exchanges the TEE ID, the PE ID, and the encrypted user data with the CE circuitry. The CE circuitry encrypts and decrypts the user data based on the CE keys. The CE circuitry exchanges the TEE ID, the CE ID, and the encrypted user data with the PE circuitry.

A method of establishing a blockchain. The method comprises receiving an activation message that comprises micro code, building an activation block of a blockchain by a block foundry implemented in a processor of an integrated circuit (IC), wherein the activation block comprises a hash of a genesis block of the block chain that is stored in a non-volatile portion of a memory of the IC and a data portion that comprises the micro code, providing a copy of the activation block of the blockchain by the block foundry to a blockchain application executing in the processor of the IC, storing the copy of the activation block by the blockchain application in the non-volatile portion of the memory of the IC, and transmitting a copy of the genesis block and a copy of the activation block by the blockchain application to a wireless communication service provider.

A wireless communication system generates Artificial Intelligence (AI) responses to network data. Computer circuitry hosts network functions, distributed ledgers, ledger clients, and AI engines. The network functions serve User Equipment (UEs) over Radio Access Networks (RANs), and in response, transfer the network data to the distributed ledgers. The distributed ledgers receive and store the network data. The ledger clients select some of the network data from the distributed ledgers and transfer the selected network data to the AI engines. The AI engines receive the selected network data, and in response, generate the AI responses. The ledger clients and the AI engines may comprise wireless network slices.

Data communication system to selectively and securely couple distributed ledgers with artificial intelligence (AI) engines

A method of authenticating and authorizing a wireless communication device for access to a communication service. The method comprises receiving a service request from a wireless communication device by a access node, parsing the service request by the access node, based on parsing the service request, determining by the access node that the wireless communication device is seeking combined authentication and service authorization, sending the service request by the access node to a hyperledger gateway, receiving an authentication success response associated with the wireless communication device and a service authorization success response by the access node from the hyperledger gateway, and sending the service request by the access node to a communication service computer system, whereby the service request is both authenticated and authorized by the hyperledger gateway in a combined transaction and a requested communication service is provided to the wireless communication device.

Hyperledger authorization into a radio access network (RAN)

A method of electronic communication via a virtual network function (NFV) implementation of a core network. The method comprises receiving a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) content request from a user equipment (UE), wherein the HTTP content request comprises an identification of a content source and determining by an orchestrator service that insufficient NFV processing capacity is available to perform the HTTP content request, where the orchestrator service is an application that executes on a first physical host. The method further comprises dynamically increasing the NFV processing capacity by the orchestrator service, performing the HTTP content request using the increased NFV processing capacity, and returning a HTTP content response to the UE, wherein the HTTP content response does not comprise identification of the content source.

Securing communications in a network function virtualization (NFV) core network

Precision digital chronography based on detected changes in state of a processor is described. The changes in state may be detected by another processor and an averaged time interval generated. A signal corresponding to the averaged time interval may be communicated to a distributed database and propagated to remote systems. Devices associated with the remote systems may adjust or set a device clock in accordance with the averaged time interval.

A method of transmitting a first tier of information by a radio frequency identity (RFID) chip when hailed in a first frequency band and transmitting a second tier of information by the RFID chip when hailed in a second frequency band. The method comprises receiving a first hailing radio signal in a first frequency band by an application executing on a processor of an RFID chip, in response to receiving the first radio signal, transmitting a first tier of information stored in the RFID chip in the first frequency band by the application, receiving a second hailing radio signal in a second frequency band by the application, and, in response to receiving the second radio signal, transmitting a second tier of information stored in the RFID chip in the second frequency band by the application.

A method for creating a link between hyperledger blocks by a block link server. The method comprises receiving by a block link server executing on a computer system a first link creation message from a first network element, the first link creation message comprising first block information comprising a first hyperledger identifier and a first block identifier, both associated with a first hyperledger, receiving by the block link server a second link creation message, comprising second block information comprising a second hyperledger identifier and a second block identifier, both associated with a second hyperledger, storing by the block link server a link data structure comprising the first block information and the second block information, and sending by the block link server a link identifier of the link data structure to the first network element.

Trusted 5G network function virtualization of virtual network function elements embedded on a system-on-chip

A mobile communication device for receiving an ad hoc temporary upgrade in quality of service (QoS). The mobile communication device comprises a processor, at least one cellular radio transceiver, a non-transitory memory, and an ad hoc service upgrade application. When executed by the processor, the application monitors wireless cellular communication on a network via the at least one cellular radio transceiver, detects a significant delay in the communication, generates a prompt on a GUI, the prompt comprising a plurality of options for an ad hoc temporary upgraded QoS, where each option is associated with a time period. The application further, based on a user input, requests a preferred roaming list (PRL) associated with the temporary upgraded QoS, receives the PRL, wherein the PRL is associated with providing the upgraded QoS on an allocated spectrum, activates the received PRL, and upon expiration of the time period, deactivates the received PRL.

A method and system for dynamically reconfiguring an air interface that defines a continuum of frames each divided into a sequence of transmission time intervals (TTIs). The air interface is initially configured according to a first radio access technology (RAT). The base station then detects that at least a threshold extent of wireless client devices (WCDs) served by the base station on the air interface support operation according to a second RAT. And in response, the base station reconfigures the air interface so that certain TTIs per frame instead operate on a second RAT, with the remaining TTIs per frame still operating on the first RAT. The base station then serves WCDs that support the second RAT in the TTIs now configured according to the second RAT, while continuing to serve other WCDs according to the first RAT in the remaining TTIs configured according to the first RAT.

A method of communicating information from an ambient electromagnetic power harvesting (AEPH) chip. The method comprises receiving energy from a first ambient electromagnetic field by an AEPH chip, wherein the first ambient electromagnetic field provides a first level of power; based on energy received from the first ambient electromagnetic field, performing a first tier of processing by a processor of the AEPH chip; receiving energy from a second ambient electromagnetic field by the AEPH chip, wherein the second ambient electromagnetic field provides a second level of power that is greater than the first level of power; determining by the processor that the second level of power is above a predefined threshold; and based on the second ambient electromagnetic field being above the predefined threshold, performing a second tier of processing by the processor, wherein the second tier of processing comprises writing information by the processor into a non-transitory memory.

A wireless communication network comprises distributed ledgers that host network attributes that have data values that characterize wireless data services. Directory circuitry stores ledger information that characterizes the distributed ledgers and the network attributes. Network circuitry delivers the wireless data services to wireless User Equipment (UEs). The network circuitry generates and stores the data values and their network attributes in the distributed ledgers. The directory circuitry receives a directory information request and selects a portion of the ledger information that characterizes the distributed ledgers and the network attributes based on the directory information request. The network circuitry receives a ledger information request responsive to the selected portion of the ledger information. The network circuitry selects and transfers a portion of the network attributes and the related data values based on the ledger information request.
