A server receives an electronic shopping cart from a client device. The electronic shopping cart describes an item for purchase from a merchant. The server comparison-shops to determine a different merchant offering the same or comparable item for sale. The server sends a notification to the client device describing a lower price offered by the different merchant. The server may then receive an approval to replace the item selected for purchase from the merchant with the item offered by the different merchant.

Methods, systems, and products for electronic purchases

Methods and systems to minimize the number of messages transmitted between a client and a server in a client-server network. The messages may be error messages, and may be associated with a log such as an error log. The client requests permission of the server to transmit a message(s) to the server. Upon receipt of the request, the server provides the client with a filter, which may include a filter table with a filter parameter(s). The server may provide the filter in real time and/or without the client or server having to go off-line. The client uses the filter to filter at least a selected message from the message(s). Once the client has filtered the selected message the client transmits the selected message and/or the associated log of the selected message to the server.

Methods and systems for centrally-controlled client-side filtering

An electronic shopping cart may reference multiple items from different merchants. Any merchant may inspect the electronic shopping cart and make counteroffers to a purchaser. If the purchaser approves one of the counteroffers, then an item in the electronic shopping cart is replaced with a substitute item offered by a different merchant.

A computer-implemented method provides location-sensitive and time-sensitive calendaring to a wireless device, such as a cell phone, pager, PDA, etc. A user's calendar is maintained with a number of appointments, start times and end times for the appointments, meeting place and a list of attendees for the appointments. When the present time reading is within a predetermined minimum of a meeting start time of an appointment of a calendar user, the location of the user is determined based on the location of the wireless device. The location of the meeting place is also determined. Using historical data (of the user or others), the estimated time of arrival of the user at the meeting place is determined. If the estimated time of arrival is after the meeting start time, then a late message may be sent to the user and/or to the other meeting attendees.

Location and time sensitive wireless calendaring

Methods, systems, and products facilitate electronic purchases. An electronic shopping cart is received at a server associated with a first merchant. The electronic shopping cart is inspected for an item selected for purchase from a different merchant. If the first merchant can offer better terms for the item, the server sends a recommendation to a customer to remove the item from the electronic shopping cart and to add a substitute item offered by the first merchant. If the customer approves, then the server replaces the item in the electronic shopping cart with the substitute item associated with the first merchant.

An automatic call distribution system includes a first software control module and a caller identification device for capturing caller identification information associated with an incoming call, a call agent station in communication with the automatic call distribution system, and an interactive voice response system in communication with the automatic call distribution system. The interactive voice response system administers a survey to a caller associated with the caller identification information. In response to receiving the incoming call, a transaction is completed between the caller and a call agent. Upon completion of the transaction, the call agent asks the caller to take part in the survey and seeks permission of the caller to use the caller's caller identification information in the survey. Upon obtaining consent from the caller, the call is routed by the automatic call distribution system from the call agent to the interactive voice response system to initiate the survey.

A method of providing data communications between first and second computing devices over a data network may include receiving a request for data communication at the first computing device from the second computing device over the data network. After receiving the request for data communication, a request for a credential according to an authentication standard may be transmitted from the first computing device to the second computing device, and the request for the credential may identify the authentication standard. After transmitting the request for the credential according to the authentication standard, a credential according to the authentication standard may be received, and the credential maybe verified. Responsive to receiving the request for data communication and responsive to verifying the authentication credential, the requested data communication may be allowed.

Adaptive authentication methods, systems, devices, and computer program products

One embodiment of the present disclosure is a method for assessing complexity levels in data representations. Such a method can be broadly summarized by the following: obtaining a first document having information associated with a data representation being used to model a concept and at least a second document having information associated with a data representation being used to model the same concept; analyzing structural components of the first document and the second document to assess a level of complexity in the data representation associated with each of the first and the second documents; and determining which of the data representation of the first document and the data representation of the second document has a smaller level of complexity. Generating metrics on data representations

Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for facilitating electronic purchases. A record of a customer's selection of items is received at a merchant's server. Some items in the record are associated with a different merchant and were selected from the different merchant's website. The merchant inspects the record for items associated with the different merchant. The merchant sends a recommendation to the customer to remove a different merchant's item and to instead add a substitute item associated with the merchant.

Methods, systems, and products for facilitating electronic purchases

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for redirecting telephone calls from a wireless device in a telecommunications network. The existence of a predefined condition is determined after an incoming call is received in the wireless device. The predefined condition may be based on a number of criteria including the current time and date, the current quantity of minutes used in the wireless device, the current estimated bill for usage of the wireless device, a current quantity of received calls in the wireless device when the incoming call is received, and the telephone number associated with the incoming call when the incoming call is received. If the predefined conditions exists, call forwarding rules stored in the wireless device are retrieved and executed from the wireless device. The call forwarding rules include instructions, based on the predefined condition, for redirecting the incoming call.

A system and method is provided that includes an automatic call distribution system adapted to communicate over a network and includes a first software control module and a caller identification information device. The automatic call distribution system is configured to capture the caller identification information associated with an incoming call placed by a client and to route the incoming call and the caller identification information received from the network to a call agent station. The system also provides an interactive voice response system in communication with the automatic call distribution system for administering a survey to a client in communication with the call agent station. The survey is then associated with the client's caller identification information and identification information of the call agent.
