Multimedia poles, light poles and/or other structures capable of facilitating multiple operations, such as sensing, lighting, messaging, etc., optionally in a connected manner whereby devices positioned at different locations may communication to implement coordinated activities, are contemplated.

Smart arm for use with multimedia pole and other structures

Intelligent synchronization of media or other material output from multiple media devices is contemplated. The intelligence synchronization may include instructing the media devices to coordinate playback in concert with a conductor whereby the conductor acts a focal point or reference for the non-conducting media devices. The non-conductor may transmit sync messaging having data or other information sufficient to facilitate coordinating operation of the non-conductors in a manner sufficient to synchronize output of the media.

Intelligent media synchronization

Control devices for controlling, switching or otherwise manipulating power and/or other operations of luminaires and/or other devices connected thereto via power, data or other connectors or interfaces are contemplated. The system including a control strategy for controlling operation of the media devices to execute operations according to a common schedule and a communications strategy for use in communicating the control strategy between the media devices in such a manner as to facilitate distribution of the control strategy to the media devices desired to operate according to the common timeline.

Method and system of controlling media devices configured to output signals to surrounding area

A speaker assembly is provided with a speaker, a housing mounted to the speaker, and a reflector spaced apart from and facing the speaker. The reflector has a generally convex central region and a plurality of circumferentially spaced lobes, each extending radially outward from the central region for reflecting acoustic vibrations from the speaker radially outboard from the reflector while providing gaps between the lobes for permitting acoustic vibrations to pass therethrough. A series of supports connect the housing and the reflector. The supports are spaced circumferentially about the housing for providing openings between the supports for an outlet of the reflected acoustic vibrations. Each of the supports is aligned with and externally visually conceals one of the lobes.

Media assembly for a structural support

An intelligent light fixture is shown which allows for hands-free or automatic control of any desired combination of the color of the lighting beam, the focus position of the lighting beam, the movement of the lighting beam and projection of patterns created by the lighting beam. The intelligent light fixture is configured and mounted in such a way that all of the above can be accomplished from a single mounting position on top, or of within, the structure that holds the intelligent light fixture. The intelligent light fixture may be contained within a housing and said housing maybe mounted to a light pole.

Housing for intelligent lights

A speaker assembly is provided with a housing, a speaker mounted to the housing, and a reflector spaced apart from and facing the speaker. The reflector is symmetrical and has an arcuate central convex region for reflecting pressure back to the speaker for amplifying back pressure to the speaker. The reflector has a secondary region with an arcuate cross-section for reflecting acoustic vibrations past and outboard of the housing. The reflector is partially translucent, and a light source is provided adjacent the reflector for conveying light to the reflector, past and outboard of the housing for illuminating a region that receives acoustic vibrations reflected from the reflector. A media assembly is provided with a fan operably connected to a generator so that air that passes into a housing through an inlet and out of an outlet, causes the fan to rotate thereby providing a power source to a media device.

Acoustic reflector and energy storage for media assemblies

A speaker assembly is provided with a speaker and a reflector spaced apart from the speaker. The reflector faces the speaker. The reflector has a central region and a plurality of circumferentially spaced lobes. Each lobe extends radially outward from the central region for reflecting acoustic vibrations from the speaker radially outboard from the reflector. Gaps are provided between the lobes for permitting acoustic vibrations to pass through the gaps.

Acoustic reflector

A window lighting system for a building structure curtain wall is provided with a housing sized to be received upon a structural member, with an opening facing the window. A refracting lens is mounted adjacent the opening. A plurality of longitudinally spaced discrete light sources are positioned in the housing, each oriented towards the refracting lens such that the light is conveyed to the refracting lens and subsequently out of the housing opening for illuminating the window. A lighting system is provided with the housing sized to extend along the window upon a cover of a structural member between a pair of sequential structure members. A lighting system cover is supported by the housing for concealing the light source and providing an ornamental appearance similar to that of the cover of the underlying structural member without obfuscating an ornamental appearance of the window and the structure members.
