A sensor system for a sparger having a housing with an inlet configured to receive a flow of compressed gas for injection of bubbles into a flotation system. The sensor system comprises a flow measurement device in line with the inlet and a movable rod assembly within the housing. A sensor and a target that move relative to each other, wherein one of the sensor and the target is located in the housing the other is located on or attached to the movable rod assembly. The sensor for measuring parameters of motion, position, and vibration, relative to the target based on the movement of the movable rod assembly. The sensor system for determining operating parameters of the sparger based on analysis of the measured motion, position, and vibration of the sensor relative to the target and flow measurements from the flow measurement device.

Sparger status sensor system

A sparger for injection of bubbles into a flotation system comprises a housing, a movable rod assembly, and a sensor system that comprises a sensor and a target that move relative to each other. One of the sensor and the target is located in the housing and the other is located on or attached to the movable rod assembly. The sensor for measuring motion, including position and vibration, relative to the target based on the movement of the movable rod assembly. The sensor system for determining operating parameters of the sparger based on the analysis of the measurement of the motion of the sensor relative to the target.

A piping system that includes a plurality of pipe made of thermoplastic material, a coupling and an arrangement for securing the pipe to the coupling. The coupling is configured so that either a fusable seal or mechanical seal can be used with the coupling to connect the pipe to the coupling with an electrofusion joining control device. Preferably, the pipe and coupling are made of thermoplastic material.

Electrofusion joining control device

A surgical lighthead includes a reflector, a lens coupled to the reflector, and a handle located adjacent the lens. The handle defines an air passage to facilitate installation of a shield over the handle. A lamp assembly includes a support and at least one bulb located on the support between the reflector and the lens. Tubes are mounted in an interior region of the lighthead between the reflector and the lens, and rods are configured to engage the support. Each rod extends through the support and into a corresponding tube. The rods include at least one threaded portion configured to secure the lamp assembly within the interior region. The rods are slidable relative to the tubes upon disengagement of the threaded portions of the rods to permit the lamp assembly to move out of the interior region of the lighthead. The rods include stops to prevent separation of the lamp assembly from the lighthead. A controller turns the bulb on and off and adjusts the intensity level of light emitted from the bulb. Spaced apart first and second displays are coupled to the controller. Each displays an indication of the intensity level of the bulb.

Controls for a surgical light apparatus

A surgical light apparatus comprising a lighthead coupled to an arm adapted for mounting to a surface of a surgical room, and wherein the lighthead has a sterile field at an outlet end thereon, and with a bulb located within the lighthead, a controller coupled to the bulb, and an actuator coupled to the controller to adjust an intensity of light of the bulb itself, and wherein the actuator is located in the sterile field on the lighthead.

Self-contained, closed loop steam sterilizer

A steam sterilization cycle having a conditioning stage, a sterilizing stage, a drying stage and an air admission stage which provides maximum removal of entrapped air from full or partial porous loads. The conditioning stage includes a plurality of pressure/vacuum pulses. The final vacuum pulses are deeper than the initial pulses. The sterilizing stage includes a diffusion dwell come-up which gradually increases the temperature and pressure of the chamber to the predetermined sterilization temperature by a sequence of pressure rises followed by pressure plateaus which permit substantially complete steam penetration of the load and substantial equalization of the actual load temperature and the temperature sensed by the sterilizer controls and substantially eliminates superheating the chamber. The cycle may also include a step for detecting and reacting to unacceptable levels of noncondensable gas present in the chamber during the sterilization stage.

Porous load vapor sterilization cycle

Sterilizing apparatus and control arrangement providing for selective operation of a plurality of differing types of sterilizing units including sterilizers capable of carrying out a plurality of differing steam and/or gas sterilizing cycles are disclosed. An electronic microcomputer controller is provided on a plurality of circuit boards, at least one of which is an integrated complete controller for at least one type of sterilizer; expander circuit boards extend control to remaining differing types of sterilizers. Also, provision is made for automatically identifying each differing type of sterilizer upon interconnecting an integrated control system with a selected sterilizer.
