A card edge connector with a locking system, which may include a locking member integrally formed with a connector housing. The locking member may deflect upon insertion of an edge of a board into the connector and spring back to engage an opening in the board. The locking member and the opening in the board may have perimeters that are rounded, allowing relative rotation about an axis through the opening even though the board is locked within the connector. Such a configuration may provide a simple and secure locking system. Such a configuration may support connecting two parallel boards, each with a card edge connector, through a riser board with opposite ends inserted into the two connectors. Relative rotation of the board with respect to the connectors enables skew, in a direction parallel to the surfaces of the parallel boards, while securing each of those boards to the riser board.

An electromagnetic shielding structure for an electrical connector comprises a tubular hollow body and an inner housing. The tubular hollow body has a plurality of contact springs disposed in an annular orientation. The inner housing is disposed within the contact springs and protects the contact springs.

An enclosure assembly for a terminating transmission line and electrical connector has a housing sub-assembly and a telescoping sub-assembly. The telescoping sub-assembly has a retained state where the telescoping sub-assembly is longitudinally fixed within the housing sub-assembly, and a retaining section with a minimum retaining position, and a maximum retaining position distanced from the minimum retaining position along a longitudinal direction of the enclosure assembly.

The invention relates to an improved busbar connection system, an electrical device incorporating same, and an electrical system comprising at least one electrical device. Such a busbar connection system comprises for receiving and for electrically contacting at least two conductors of a busbar, and a signal connector for receiving and for electrically contacting a link module with a plurality of contact pads. The busbar connector has at least two, spaced apart, openings defined by an open cross-section along a mating direction that enable the busbar connector to partially surround, on opposite sides, each of the at least two conductors of the busbar. The signal connector has an opening defined by a closed cross-section along the mating direction that enables the signal connector to guide the link module into a contacting position for electrically contacting the plurality of contact pads.

A contact module includes an overmolded leadframe with frame members separated by corresponding gaps and a removable insert coupled to a corresponding receptacle signal contacts. The removable insert has a main wall, end walls extending from the main wall and forming a receiving space therebetween, and a finger extending from the main wall in the receiving space. First and second channels are formed between the finger and the corresponding end walls that receive the contacts. The finger and end walls hold the lateral positions of the contacts during the overmolding process. The receiving space is filled with dielectric material during overmolding and the removable insert leaves a window in the corresponding frame member that exposes the corresponding receptacle signal contacts.
