A street light fixture includes a street light pole having a base and a head end opposite the base supporting a street light head. The street light fixture includes a light fixture assembly having a head assembly, a base assembly and a wire assembly. The head assembly is received in the street light head and includes a light engine. The base assembly is received in a base cavity of the base of the street light pole and includes a power controller that receives power from power feed wires. The wire assembly has power supply wires extending between the street light head and the base of the street light pole. The power supply wires are coupled to the power controller and are coupled to the light engine to supply power from the power controller to the light engine.

Light fixture assembly for a street light fixture

An electronic device includes a substrate having a top surface, a bottom surface and at least one opening therethrough. The substrate has circuitry. A relay is mounted to the substrate and is electrically connected to the circuitry. The relay has a switching device configured to activate the relay. The switching device has contacts electrically connected to the circuitry. The relay is mounted to the substrate in the opening such that at least a portion of the switching device is positioned above the top surface and at least a portion of the switching device is positioned below the top surface.

An LED strip assembly for a light fixture includes a PCB strip and a power connector electrically connected thereto. A rear of the PCB strip is mounted to a support wall of a frame of the light fixture and LEDs are mounted to a front of the PCB strip. The power connector includes a connector housing having a contact cavity and a mounting tab configured to be mounted to the support wall of the frame of the light fixture. The power connector includes a power wire assembly coupled to the connector housing having a power wire and a power wire contact terminated thereto. The power wire contact has a spring beam mechanically and electrically connected to a power pad of the PCB strip at a separable mating interface to electrically connect the power wire to a power circuit of the PCB strip.

An electronic device includes a substrate having a top surface, a bottom surface and at least one opening therethrough. The substrate has a circuit. A switch mechanism is mounted to the substrate and is electrically connected to the circuit. The switch mechanism has an actuator configured to activate the switch mechanism. The switch mechanism has a housing holding the actuator and leads extending from the housing. The leads are electrically connected to the circuit. The switch mechanism is mounted to the substrate in the opening such that at least a portion of the housing is positioned below the top surface.

A power wiring device includes a front housing having a power component at a user interface and a rear housing having a wire interface. The front and rear housings define a cavity. Control electronics are received in the cavity and include a circuit board and a controller coupled to the circuit board. The controller has control circuitry for controlling a power function of the power wiring device. The power component is coupled to the circuit board and affected by the power function. A plurality of power terminals are coupled to the circuit board. The power terminals each have a base, circuit board contacts extending from the base and being terminated to the circuit board, and wire contacts extending from the base. The wire contacts have quick connect interfaces for direct, quick connection to corresponding wires of building wiring.

Power wiring device

An electrical relay device includes a housing extending between a closed end and an open end defining a chamber. The closed end of the housing faces and is mounted to a circuit board. A driver is received in the chamber and is electrically connected to a relay power source. The driver includes a coil and coil terminals terminated to the circuit board. A switch member is positioned in the chamber and moves between a first position and a second position. The switch member includes a movable relay contact. A cover is coupled to the housing at the open end. The cover holds the coil with the movable relay contact positioned between the coil and the closed end of the housing facing the circuit board.

Electrical relay device

A light sensor assembly includes a base configured to be fixedly mounted to a housing of a light fixture. The base holds contacts configured to be electrically connected to terminals of the light fixture. A photocell module is provided on the base and includes a photocell electrically connected to the contacts. A sensor lid is coupled to the base. The sensor lid has a lightpipe directing light from an exterior of the sensor lid to the photocell. The sensor lid is variably positionable at different angular positions relative to the base to change an orientation of the lightpipe relative to the photocell.

Light sensor assembly

A connectorized wireless node used to distribute power and control devices in a system. The connectorized wireless node includes a housing, power control circuitry and wireless control circuitry. The power control circuitry is provided in the housing and distributes power to the devices. The wireless control circuitry is provided in the housing and receives wireless signals which contain control information. The wireless control circuitry cooperates with the power control circuitry to control the devices within a system.

A light bulb assembly includes a bulb housing that is configured to be mounted to a base that includes an electrically conductive shell configured to be connected to a light bulb socket. The shell defines a negative terminal of the light bulb assembly. A light bulb is held by the bulb housing and includes a printed circuit board (PCB). The assembly includes an electrical connector having a connector housing, a negative contact, and a positive terminal of the light bulb assembly. The electrical connector is mounted to the PCB such that the positive terminal and the negative contact are electrically connected to the PCB. The negative contact is configured to mate with the shell of the base. The positive terminal is configured to be exposed for mating with a corresponding terminal of the light bulb socket when the bulb housing is mounted to the base.

Light bulb assembly

A socket housing is provided for light emitting diode (LED) packages having an LED printed circuit board (PCB). The socket housing includes first and second housing segments that define a recess therebetween for receiving an LED package therein. The first and second housing segments are configured to engage the LED PCB of the LED package to secure the LED package within the recess. A relative position between the first and second housing segments is selectively adjustable such that a size of the recess is selectively adjustable for receiving differently sized LED packages therein.

LED socket assembly

A circuit board connector includes a contact having a mating end with a spring beam having a separable mating interface and a terminating end configured to be terminated to a wire. A housing holds the contact and includes a main body extending between a front and a rear. The housing has a mounting flange extending from the main body. The main body has a contact channel holding the contact and a wire barrel at the front configured to receive the wire. The rear of the main body is positionable on the circuit board such that the spring beam of the contact is aligned with the contact pad. A fastener is coupled to the mounting flange and is used to secure the housing to a substrate independent of the circuit board.

Circuit board connector

A relay connector assembly configured to electrically connect a power supply and a load includes a housing having a bottom configured to be mounted to a circuit board, the housing having contact cavities. Power contacts are received in corresponding contact cavities and held by the housing. The power contacts have relay tab ends and terminating ends having interfaces configured to be terminated to high current power conductors of either the power supply or the load. A relay is coupled to the housing. The relay has coil contacts configured to be electrically connected to a coil circuit of the circuit board used to energize the relay. The relay has relay tabs being terminated to the relay tab ends of corresponding power contacts. The relay electrically connects corresponding power contacts when the relay is energized.

Relay connector assembly for a relay system

A light bulb assembly includes a bulb housing that is configured to be connected to a light bulb socket. A light bulb is held by the bulb housing and includes a printed circuit board (PCB). The assembly includes an electrical connector having a connector housing, a negative terminal of the light bulb assembly, and a positive terminal of the light bulb assembly. The electrical connector is mounted to the PCB such that the positive terminal and the negative terminal are electrically connected to the PCB. The negative terminal is configured to mate with a corresponding negative terminal of the light bulb socket. The positive terminal is configured to mate with a corresponding positive terminal of the light bulb socket.

A solid state lighting system includes an electronic driver having a power input configured to receive power from a power source and the electronic driver having a power output. The electronic driver controls the power supply to the power output according to a control protocol, and the electronic driver has at least one expansion port having a separable interface. The system also includes a light emitting diode (LED) subassembly having an LED board having at least one LED that receives power from the power output of the electronic driver to power the LED. The system further includes a first expansion module configured to be coupled to the at least one expansion port of the electronic driver having a first functionality affecting the control protocol, and a second expansion module configured to be coupled to the at least one expansion port of the electronic driver having a second functionality affecting the control protocol. The first and second expansion modules are selectively coupled to the at least one expansion port to change the control protocol.

Solid state lighting system

An LED connector assembly includes a housing having a cavity formed therein. A connector interface is positioned on the housing to receive electrical wiring from a power source. An LED package is provided having at least one LED die coupled thereto. The LED package is removably received in the cavity of the housing and retained using features in the LED package and housing. The LED package is electrically coupled to the connector interface to provide power to the at least one LED die.
