A method is provided for evaluating the delivery and effectiveness of engine performance chemicals and products for reducing intake valve deposits for gasoline direct injection and port fuel injection engines. The engine evaluation tool provides the ability to repeatedly quantify the relative improvements between engine performance and maintenance products through a series of tests in a controlled environment with parameters that simulate intake valve and combustion chamber conditions of an engine. Non-limiting examples of test engine parameters illustratively include air fuel ratio, intake air flow, temperature of sample, oscillation frequency, presentation angle of replaceable sample, and product delivery method that includes throttle body upstream, port vacuum in plenum, and by fuel injector.

Evaluation of the delivery and effectiveness of engine performance chemicals and products

A wash pod is provided that includes unit dose of anhydrous wash concentrate surfactant containing at least one cationic surfactant and at least one nonionic surfactant in water soluble hygroscopic polymeric package containing the concentrate. The film encapsulates the wash formula unit dose and dissolves when placed in a bucket of water while also being chemically and physically strong enough to hold a more preferred alkaline formula as well as to remain stable during storage is provided. A low volatile organic compound (VOC) car wash formula that is highly concentrated with a low water content and contains nonionic and cationic surfactants to promote cleaning, foaming and beading, while also containing a small amount of carnauba wax is also provided. The formulation of the car wash detergent provides a streak free low residue finish on a cleaned surface.

Vehicle wash pod

A system and method that are capable of cleaning and/or treating a surface of an object, such as the exterior surface of a vehicle. The system and method utilize wash solution formulations and rinse solution formulations including a wash solution composition that contains at least one ethoxylated interpolymer and a rinse solution with at least one layered silicate incorporating an inorganic pholyphosphate peptiser.

System and method for cleaning and/or treating surfaces of objects

A tire dressing composition comprises a silicone emulsion system which polishes and protects tires, while at the same time imparting water repellency to the subject tires. In some embodiments, the tire dressing composition comprises a silicone microemulsion, a wetting agent, and optionally a fluorocarbon or hydrocarbon propellant when an aerosol system is used.
