A jewelry article includes an elongated support and a multiplicity of beads strung along the support. At least one of the beads constitutes a locking bead consisting of a substantially closed hollow shell with a pair of aligned holes sized to slideably receive the support. A heat-shrinkable plastic tube is positioned inside the shell with its opposite ends captured by portions of said shell around the holes. The tube has a heat-deformed inner wall which substantially conforms to the support so as to permanently anchor the bead to the support. A method of stringing the locking bead is also disclosed.

A seeding machine comprising a transversely extending main frame and left and right transversely extending wing frames. The main frame and the wing frames are provided with a plurality of planting units. Left and right main seed hoppers are mounted to the main frame. The left and right main seed hoppers are transversely separated from one another by a longitudinally extending gap located along the longitudinal centerline of the seeding machine. A pneumatic seed on demand delivery system automatically directs seed from the left and right main seed hoppers to the planting units. A walkway is positioned in the gap between the left and right main seed hoppers to facilitate operator access to the lids of the main seed hoppers.

A jewelry bead has a rigid hollow body with an exterior wall of a first metal and a covering of a second metal whose color is different from that of the first metal. The covering overlies one or more selected areas of the wall so as to define an all-metal substantially level color pattern on the bead. A method of making the jewelry bead is also disclosed.

A jewelry article includes an elongated support and a multiplicity of ornaments strung along the support, at least one of which constitutes an adjustable self-stopping bead. Each self-stopping bead has a rigid shell with a pair of holes sized to slidably receive the support. A flexible resilient tube is positioned inside the shell in alignment with the holes that tube having a length that is as great as or slightly greater than the spacing of the holes, an outside diameter that is slightly larger than the diameter of the holes and in inside diameter that is slightly smaller than the maximum cross-sectional dimension of the support so that the tube resiliently engages the support to adjustably fix the position of the self-stopping bead along the support. A method of making the self-stopping bead is also disclosed.

An agricultural implement frame comprises a main frame having ground engaging wheels, a mast extending upwardly and forwardly from the main frame, a truck slidably mounted on the mast, and a carrier frame pivotally mounted to the truck. Two hydraulic lift cylinders are used to raise and lower the truck on the mast. A hydraulic pivot cylinder is used to pivot the carrier frame relative to the truck on a vertical pivot located on the truck. Rollers forming a bearing facilitates the sliding movement of the truck on the mast.

Multifaceted product tank

Frame sections on an implement are supported above the ground by lift wheel assemblies having positive mechanical depth stops and series connected lift cylinders. A pressure responsive bypass valve is installed in series with an orifice between the ports of the series connected cylinders. The valve permits the corresponding cylinder to be retracted and positively held against the depth stop and allows bypass flow to the next cylinder in series for continued retraction of the next cylinder until it bottoms against the stop. The orifice protects the bypass valve poppet from damaging high flows and controls the rate of descent of the other frame sections onto the remaining stops. The system permits the cylinders to positively maintain the down-stopped positions of the sections without unwanted looseness typical with slotted or other lost motion types of connections. A restrictor valve may be added to limit the maximum pressure so that all the bypass valves cannot open at the same time.

A plastic product tank for containing product under pressure has a lower funnel portion including a product outlet and an upper container portion having a product-containing capacity substantially greater than the lower funnel portion. The lower funnel portion and upper container portion are in substantially gas-tight communication with each other and the upper container portion of the tank includes side walls formed by a plurality of substantially planar surfaces adjacent to each other. Each interior angle between adjacent side walls of the upper container portion is greater than ninety degrees.

A product disconnect is provided for cutting off product flow between a product tank and an associated metering system. The product is instead directed to a product cleanout where an operator can empty the product tank without sending product through the metering system. The product disconnect may consist of one or more rotary cutoff valves which are selectively movable between an open position allowing product to flow into metering system and a closed position where product is instead directed to a product cleanout.

The invention is directed to an integral coupling arrangement for coupling a trailing cart to a transverse toolbar. The cart is provided with two draft links extending forwardly from the cart that are pivotally coupled to the toolbar. A central hitch also extends forwardly from the cart and is coupled to the toolbar by a floating link. Pushing and pulling forces are applied through the draft links only. The central hitch carries the vertical weight applied by the cart.

A hydraulic system includes a hydraulic pump which provides pressurized fluid at an output port as a function of pressure in a load sensing port, a hydraulic reservoir, and a load pressure sensing line connected to the load sensing port. A solenoid operated implement control valve controls fluid communication to and from a hydraulic function such as a cylinder. A supply control valve has a first position wherein the reservoir is communicated with the load sensing port and a second position wherein the pump output port is communicated with the load sensing port. A spring urges the valve member to its first position, and a solenoid is energizable to move the valve member to its second position. The solenoid is energized when the implement control valve is activated so that the supply control valve communicates pump pressure to the load sensing port and the pump will operate at full capacity whenever the second hydraulic function is operated.

A forwardly-folding, tractor-drawn agricultural implement featuring a rear center frame and a pair of wing sections that may selectively occupy operating positions in which they are horizontally and transversely alined with each other but alined in that manner forwardly of the center, rear section. This rear section carries no agricultural tools and serves basically as a rear rolling support for the implement in both its operating position and in a transport position in which the wing sections are folded forwardly along opposite sides of a central telescopic tongue or hitch by means of which the rear section is connected to and supported on a tractor. When the implement is in its transport or folded position, the overall length of the machine may be shortened to bring the rear support wheels closer to the tractor.

A forwardly foldable agricultural planter includes a hitch shiftable as wing sectons are moved between transport and operational configurations. Rigid link tow bars pivot about centrally positioned pivots permitting the hitch to be horizontally shifted between transport and operational positions to thereby realize positive drawn implement control in both configurations. A telescoping drawbar provides further implement support and control and either manual or automatic latching mechanisms can be provided to secure the folded wing sections in position.
