A kit for making a decorative article includes a fabric backing having a grid thereon. The grid is sized in predetermined segments to facilitate making a decorative article therefrom. A plurality of differently colored yarn segments and a liquid adhesive are provided with a template showing the decorative article design. In use, one end of each of the yarn segments is adhesively attached to a square within the predetermined segments on the fabric backing. The yarn segments are attached to the fabric backing by following a key in conjunction with the template which has a corresponding grid printed thereon. A decorative article can be produced from the yarn segments which is adaptable for wall or floor use.

Kit and method for making decorative articles

This relates to a portable abrasive throwing wheel device or abrasive blasting device which is utilized for blasting castings and the like to effect the cleaning thereof. The portable device is of such a construction whereby its total weight is on the order of 100 pounds and is so suspended wherein it is very little thrust reaction on an operator so that it may be readily manipulated. Further, the principal thrust of the device is carried by the suspension for the device and otherwise is directed towards the operator so that is may be readily counteracted. The portable device includes a fixed motor and a fixed abrasive supply with a throwing wheel carried by the motor and only the housing portion being movable. The housing is rotatable about the axis of the motor and serves to permit the discharge opening of the device to be tilted to the desired angle for directing the abrasive blast where desired. A special mounting for the portable device is provided in the form of a rotatable cantilevered boom having a length of six or eight feet or more with the abrasive supply fed through the center of the rotary fitting or bearing about which the cantilevered boom rotates.
