Heavy duty liquid laundry detergent compositions which clean, soften and provide static control, and which comprise: (1) sulfated (optionally ethoxylated) alcohol anionic surfactant, (2) ion pair complex, (3) cumene, xylene, or toluene sulfonate, (4) smectite-type clay, and (5) ethoxylated nonionic surfactant. The compositions are in the form of stable, homogeneous suspensions which have a low viscosity, a near-neutral pH, and a specified yield value. Such compositions impart fabric care benefits through-the-wash without significantly impairing cleaning performance.

Stable heavy duty liquid detergent compositions which contain a softener

Stable liquid detergent compositions containing amine oxide and alcohol polyethoxylate sulfate surfactants, a water-soluble detergency builder, an alkanolamine and a hydrotrope are disclosed. The compositions recover, after freezing, to single phase isotropic liquids at relatively low temperatures.

Stable liquid detergent compositions

Stable liquid detergent compositions containing nonionic, amine oxide and alcohol polyethoxylate sulfate surfactants and a water-soluble detergency builder are disclosed. The compositions are single phase isotropic liquids which exhibit improved freeze-thaw stability. The polyethoxylate sulfate surfactant enhances detergency performance on textiles that have been softened with a conventional cationic fabric softener.

Granular detergent compositions comprising at least 15% sodium tripolyphosphate are prepared by agglomeration with an agglomerating agent comprising an alkali metal silicate solution such process comprising addition of such agglomerating agent to a first portion of sodium tripolyphosphate and the addition of a second portion of sodium tripolyphosphate to the mixture of said first portion and the agglomerating agent after at least about 30% of the agglomerating agent has been added.
