An air filtration system includes a frame directing an airflow through the air filtration system and a media filter disposed in the frame including one or more filtration elements. The system further includes one or more alignment features and one or more sealing elements interactive with the one or more alignment features to prevent incorrect installation of the media filter into the frame. A method of installing a media filter in an air filtration system includes aligning an alignment feature of the media filter with an opening in a frame of the air filtration system and inserting the media filter into the frame. The alignment feature ensures that the media filter is inserted in the frame in a correct orientation.

An air filtration system includes a frame directing an airflow through the air filtration system and a power supply. An ionization array is located in the frame across the airflow and connected to the power supply. The power supply provides a first voltage to the ionization array. A field wire is located in the frame downstream from the ionization array and is energized to a second voltage only by an electrical energy discharge from the ionization array. A method of operating an electrically enhanced air filtration system includes energizing an ionization array, located across an airflow through the air filtration system, to a first voltage via electrical power supplied by a power supply. Electrical energy is discharged from the ionization array into the airflow. A field wire downstream of the ionization array is energized to a second voltage only by the discharge of electrical energy from the ionization array.

An electrode support for an electrode of an electrically-enhanced air filtration system includes a conductor extending through the electrode support and electrically connectible to the electrode and to a power supply. An insulative layer is located around the conductor and the electrode support is configured to position the electrode in a frame of the air filtration system. An air filtration system includes a frame directing an airflow through the air filtration system and an electrode located in the frame. An electrode support positions the electrode in the frame and includes a conductor extending through the electrode support and electrically connected to the electrode and an insulative layer located around the conductor. An electrical power supply is electrically connected to the conductor to provide electrical power to the electrode.

Various embodiments of an architectural covering insert primarily adapted for use in simulated divided light openings is disclosed. The insert includes an outer framework with horizontal and vertical dividers, a plurality of horizontally or vertically disposed shade components associated with one or more dividers and control means for moving the shade components between extended and retracted positions across simulated openings defined by the vertical and horizontal dividers. The shade components can be of the roller shade type or collapsible cellular type with the net result being that, from a visual standpoint, there are shade components associated with each individual simulated opening defined by the horizontal and vertical dividers, as opposed to a single shade that covers the entire architectural opening.

Covering for a simulated divided light architectural opening and systems for mounting same

A covering for an architectural opening includes a new system for mounting the controls for the covering within the head rail such that suspended vertical vanes are closely positioned relative to the bottom of a head rail and disposed so as to form a continuous and integrated look with the head rail. An improved pantograph is used in the control system with one set of links of the pantograph having tapered side edges to improve stacking of the vanes adjacent to the end of a head rail without sacrificing strength and therefore quality of the control system. An improved operating system in the form of the combination of a tilt wand, coupler and pull cord provides a simplified system for not only moving the vanes along the length of the head rail between extended and retracted positions but for also pivoting the vanes about longitudinal vertical axis between open and closed positions. An improved system for connecting suspended vanes to the control system is also provided with the system being uniquely designed for use with tubular vanes and retains the vanes in a tubular orientation. The tilt wand is connected to the tilt rod within the head rail by an inclined drive connector that enables the tilt wand to be aligned with the pull cord at the location where the pull cord drops from the head rail for manipulation by an operator. In this manner, the combined tilt wand and pull cord establish a substantially child-proof operating system for the covering.

Operation, control and suspension system for a vertical vane covering for architectural openings

A flexible member is fabricated with four side walls forming a chamber which is coupled to a fluid source or reservoir on one side and has a slit through the end wall on the other side. The end wall is generally flat on its interior surface. Deformation of the side walls of the flexible member as by biting causes the end wall with the slit to deform and open the slit which otherwise is retained closed by the walls of the flexible member. This action establishes fluid dispensing from the source through the slit. The thickness of at least two of the side walls with respect to the slit containing end wall is greater than the end wall so that the pivoting hinge lines are established. Alternatively or in addition to the foregoing, a cut or groove into the interior of the end wall establishes a hinge line with cuts on either side of the slit thus establishing dual hinge lines.

Manually actuable fluid dispensing unit and process

Disclosed is a lockable clamping apparatus for securing a bicycle to the rail of a pick-up truck bed having a generally L-shaped lengthwise extending portion. The clamping apparatus includes outer clamping means for engaging the outer facing surfaces of the truck bed rail's L-shaped portion and inner clamping means for engaging the inner facing surfaces of the truck bed rail's L-shaped portion. The inner and outer clamping means are movably, preferably pivotally, connected to each other so that they can be moved, preferably pivoted, between an open mounting position and a closed clamping position. The clamping apparatus is mounted on the truck bed rail when it is in its open mounting position. When the clamping apparatus is in its closed clamping position, the first and second clamping means tightly engage the L-shaped portion of the truck bed rail to secure the clamping apparatus thereto. The clamping apparatus also includes lock facilitating means for enabling the inner and outer clamping means to be locked together in the closed clamping position. In addition, the clamping apparatus includes skewer mounting means for receiving a bicycle skewer to secure a bicycle to the apparatus.
