The invention relates to an hydraulic unit for a motor vehicle brake system which operates according to the feedback principle, for which purpose a low-pressure accumulator is provided between the outlet valves of the wheel brakes and a pump, and the piston of which low-pressure accumulator, in the basic position, disconnects the hydraulic connection between a pressure medium chamber and a connection leading to the pump such that, in the empty state of the low-pressure accumulator, the wheel brakes are reliably disconnected from the suction side of the pump.

Hydraulic unit

A brake system for a motor vehicle which simplifies the hydraulic design and avoids a vacuum prevailing over a relatively long period of time. The first hydraulic unit has a suction volume, which is connected to the suction side of the pump and which, in the event of a change in the pressure on the suction side of the pump, provides a pressure and volume equalization by means of the brake fluid stored in the suction volume, with an elastic element.

Brake system for a motor vehicle

A pulsation damping capsule including at least one hermetically joint-sealed metal membrane housing made of at least two preferably concave hemispheres, the housing being provided for separating an inner space from a surrounding pressure medium, wherein the hemispheres are connected together along a peripheral seam firmly bonded such that the pulsation damping capsule can be compressed and expanded as an energy accumulator with spring elasticity due to the effect of the pressure medium. A pulsation damping device is provided which is both dimensioned to withstand stresses and is simple to produce, the pulsation damping effect of which can be tailored especially easily to the existing conditions. Further disclosed is a pulsation damping module for housing a plurality of pulsation damping capsules.

Pulsation damping capsule

A hydraulic system comprising a receiving body with electrohydraulic valve, with at least one hydraulic pump, and with channels for connecting the pump to at least one hydraulic load. A pulsation situation arises as a result of the delivery of a pressure medium by the pump and/or as a result of pressure medium being withdrawn by the load. At least one damping unit is provided, having a plurality of pulsation damping means such as, in particular, a damping chamber, and orifice. The hydraulic system provides a uniform and cost-effective solution for different operating situations and prevents a decrease in comfort. The damping unit has at least one switching means for adjusting the action of said damping unit to a varied pulsation situation by connecting or disconnecting one or more damping means.

Hydraulic system with improved pulsation damping

The invention relates to an electrohydraulic assembly for an electronically controlled brake system with an accommodating member which includes accommodating bores for electrohydraulic valves, accommodating bores for hydraulic supply devices and an accommodating bore for at least one roller bearing, and with hydraulic channels and pressure fluid ports, as well as with an electric motor comprising a rotor with a shaft that is mounted with the roller bearing in the associated accommodating bore in the accommodating member and used to drive the supply devices, and with an electronic control unit being connected to the electric motor by means of a plug penetrating a through-bore in the accommodating member. The objective is to provide a safe and comfortable operating characteristics even in consideration of extreme environmental influences. This object is achieved because the electrohydraulic assembly includes at least two brake circuits and at least two supply devices per brake circuit, and because the accommodating bores for the supply devices are arranged on top of each other along a first imaginary plane that extends in parallel to the shaft.

Electrohydraulic assembly for an electronically controlled brake system

Hydraulic motor vehicle braking system with wheel slip controller, comprising a brake pressure applicator (,), which consists of a pedal-activated vacuum brake booster (,) and a main brake cylinder (,) and is connected via a brake line (,) to at least one pair of wheel brakes (,), and a pump (,) connected to the brake line (,) for conveying pressure agent from the brake pressure applicator (,) in the direction of the wheel brakes (,) during wheel slip control, and at least one pressure modulation valve (,&prime;) installed downstream in the brake line (,) to vary the brake pressure in the wheel brakes (,) during the wheel slip control process. Maximum vacuum brake force amplification is limited to a mean wheel braking pressure that represents normal braking without wheel slippage; when this representative mean value is exceeded the vacuum brake force amplification is supplemented by hydraulic amplification of wheel braking pressure as a result of activation of the pump (,), which is configured to a level of pressure that is proportionate to pedal force.
