A streamer device or other system can include a pylon configured to attach to a locking collar, and a latch mechanism with a seat component. The latch mechanism comprises a pin member configured to attach to the locking collar, and a bias component. The seat component can be configured to retain the bias component when the pylon is attached to the locking collar, and the bias component can be configured to bias the pin member to hold the locking collar to the pylon. The bias may responsive to a position of the seat component, or determined or controlled at least in part based on the position.

Latch mechanism for streamer device

A seismic deployment system having a deployment apparatus, a tow line, and a carrier line having a plurality of seismic sensor coupled therealong. The deployment apparatus has a hydrodynamic body. The tow line is configured for towing the hydrodynamic body through a water column. The carrier line is engaged with the deployment apparatus. The deployment apparatus is configured to control tension in the carrier line for deployment of the seismic sensors while the hydrodynamic body is towed through the water column by the tow line.

Subsurface seismic deployment system and method

A seismic sensor cable system is provided. The seismic sensor cable system may include a cable, a first sensor configured to measure motion of the cable, wherein measurement of motion by the first sensor substantially excludes particle motion associated with seismic waves, and a second sensor configured to measure particle motion associated with the seismic waves.

Seismic sensor

A connection system for connecting external devices to a streamer. The connection system comprises three outer collars maintained collinearly aligned by a stabilizing member, such as a lightweight, rigid tube, attached to each outer collar. The tube extends parallel to the bores of the outer collars. The forward and aft outer collars ride on races formed on the periphery of inner collars clamped around mounting structure in the interior of the streamer. An external device is attached to the forward collar and to the intermediate collar, which does not ride on an inner collar. The spacing between the forward and intermediate collars is fixed by the standard spacing of the two attachment points in standard external devices. The spacing between the forward and aft collars is set by the specified spacing of mounting structures in the interior of the streamer.
