Slide assemblies that include at least an inner slide segment and an outer slide segment. Many of the slide assemblies also include an intermediate slide segment interposed between the inner slide segment and the outer slide segment. The outer slide segment is constructed from a bent piece of material having a substantially uniform wall thickness. The outer slide segment is formed to have a wall portion, an upper portion and a lower portion. Each of the upper portion and lower portion include two layers of the piece of material. A mounting assembly for a slide assembly includes at least one bracket having a first pin and a second pin movable relative to the first pin. The second pin can surround and slide upon the first pin and can be biased to a first position and movable to a second position relative to the first pin.

Compact slide assemblies

Slide assemblies that include at least an inner slide segment and an outer slide segment. Many of the slide assemblies also include an intermediate slide segment interposed between the inner slide segment and the outer slide segment. One or more of the segments can be constructed of an aluminum material, which is extruded into a final cross-sectional shape. A slide assembly can include a combination drop-and-lock and disconnectable inner slide segment. A slide assembly can include a lock closed arrangement having a lock arm that passes through an opening of a mounting rail of the server rack. A slide assembly can also include a self-resetting hands-free disconnect arrangement.

Slide assemblies that include at least an inner slide segment and an outer slide segment. Many of the slide assemblies also include an intermediate slide segment interposed between the inner slide segment and the outer slide segment. The inner and outer slide segments include a plurality of rollers separated into upper rows and lower rows. The slide assembly can also include lock arrangements to secure individual slide segments in desired positions relative to one another. The slide assemblies preferably include mounting brackets, which, in some arrangements, include mounting pin assemblies capable of use with at least three mounting hole sizes or shapes.

Slide assembly

Slide assemblies that include at least an inner slide segment and an outer slide segment. The outer slide segment is constructed from a bent piece of material having a substantially uniform wall thickness. The outer slide segment is formed to have a wall portion, an upper portion and a lower portion. Each of the upper portion and lower portion include two layers of the piece of material. A mounting assembly for a slide assembly includes at least one bracket having at least a first pin and a second pin movable relative to the first pin. The inner slide segment includes a plurality of rollers separated into an upper row and a lower row. The inner slide segment also includes a plurality of keyholes separated into pairs, each of which includes an upper keyhole and a lower keyhole. The slide assembly can also include lock arrangements to secure individual slide segments in desired positions relative to one another. The slide assemblies preferably have a narrow cross-sectional width and a relatively high static and operational load rating.

A slide assembly having an outer segment, an intermediate segment, and an inner segment telescopically engaged with one another. The slide assembly includes forward pair of rollers and a rearward pair of rollers having a diameter that is greater than a diameter of the forward pair of rollers. The outer segment includes a protrusion that limits vertical movement of the intermediate slide segment. The intermediate segment includes a stop member arranged to contact a portion of the inner segment to limit vertical movement of the inner segment relative to the intermediate segment. The inner segment includes a stop arrangement that contacts the intermediate segment to define a closed position of the inner segment. The outer segment includes a stop member and a strengthening rib is positioned near a surface of the intermediate segment that contacts the stop member.

Heavy-duty slide assembly

A slide assembly with a self-closing mechanism that includes a dampening mechanism. In one arrangement, the slide assembly includes an inner slide segment slidably coupled to an outer slide segment. The self-closing mechanism is configured to move the inner slide segment towards a retracted position when the inner segment is moved to within a predetermined distance from the retracted position. The slide assembly can also include a latch which is engaged during the closing process and functions to trigger the self-closing and dampening. In an arrangement, the slide assembly has a maximum width dimension of about 0.4 inches or less, taking into account normal manufacturing variations. In an arrangement, a movable portion of the self-closing mechanism slidably engages a bearing race of the outer segment.

Self-closing slide assembly with dampening mechanism

A slide assembly includes an inner slide segment, an intermediate slide segment, and an outer slide segment. A bearing assembly is provided between the inner slide segment and the intermediate slide segment. Preferably, a lock arm extends from the outer slide segment and is engageable with an engagement surface of the intermediate slide segment to limit movement of the intermediate slide segment with respect to the outer slide segment. A latch is associated with the intermediate slide segment and comprises a locking portion. The locking portion is selectively engageable with the bearing assembly to limit movement of the bearing assembly.

Controller for a quick disconnect slide assembly

A slide assembly is provided comprising a stationary slide segment, an intermediate slide segment, and a load-carrying slide segment. A bearing assembly is provided between the segments to reduce the friction therebetween. A lock arm extends from the load-carrying slide segment and is engageable with an engagement surface of the intermediate slide segment to limit movement of the load-carrying slide segment with respect to the intermediate slide segment when the load-carrying slide segment is fully extended. An elongated release member is slidably disposed within the channel of the load-carrying member, and as the release member is displaced inwardly, it depresses the lock arm thereby actuating the release mechanism by disengaging the lock arm from the engagement surface. The release mechanism remains actuated until the load-carrying slide segment is fully inserted into the intermediate slide member.

Front release for a slide assembly

A slide assembly including a first slide segment, a second slide segment, and a third slide segment. A bearing assembly is provided between the second slide segment and the third slide segment. A lock arm extends from the third slide segment and is engageable with an engagement surface of the second slide segment to limit movement of the third slide segment with respect to the second slide segment. A controller is associated with the second slide segment and comprises a locking portion and an actuator portion. The locking portion extends through an opening in a side wall of the second slide segment towards the bearing retainer. The locking portion is selectively engageable with the bearing retainer to limit movement of the bearing assembly. The actuator extends through an opening in a side wall of the second slide segment between the first slide segment and the lock arm to actuate the lock arm and thereby disengage it from the engagement surface when the slide assembly is retracted.

A sequencing mechanism for a slide assembly having at least three segments, including an outer slide segment, one or more intermediate slide segments and an inner slide segment. The sequencing mechanism ensures that the inner and intermediate slide segments extend together, from a substantially retracted position, until the intermediate segment reaches substantially full extension. The sequencing mechanism includes a sequence latch pivotally attached to the intermediate slide segment and configured to operate in both an upright orientation and an inverted orientation of the slide assembly. The latch has a hook portion at one end and a transversely extending tab portion at the opposing end. The hook portion selectively engages an opening in the inner slide segment to lock the inner slide segment to the intermediate slide segment. An actuator is connected to, or formed from, the outer slide segment and is configured to engage the tab portion of the latch to unlock the inner slide segment from the intermediate slide segment. In addition, the actuator engages the tab portion of the latch to lock the intermediate slide segment in a fully extended position. Upon retraction of the slide assembly, the inner segment engages the hook portion to rotate the latch from engagement with the actuator and unlock the intermediate segment from its fully extended position.
