A device () is described for positioning electrodes on a user's scalp. It comprises a housing (), for example a headpiece of a headphones device, which can be put around a user's head. An elastic element () and a plurality of electrodes are positioned, so that once the housing () is put around the user's head, the elastic element () at least partly follows the curvature of the user's head. The stress in the elastic element () due to stretching thereof caused by putting the housing around the user's head causes the elastic element () to exert pressure on at least some of the plurality of electrodes towards the scalp. Hereby, effective contact of the plurality of electrodes to the scalp is facilitated.

Device for positioning electrodes on a user's scalp

A capacitive proximity device for sensing a presence and/or absence of an object in the proximity of an electronic device includes an emission electrode capacitively coupled to a receiver electrode, an oscillator for generating an emission-signal being an alternating electric field between the emission electrode and the receiving electrode, and a sensing circuit connected to the receiving electrode. The sensing circuit receives a measured-signal from the receiver electrode and includes a first synchronous detection circuit together with a low-pass filter for generating an output-signal being proportional to a distance between the object and the electronic device. The sensing circuit further includes a noise-suppresser for reducing noise from the measured-signal before entering the first synchronous detection circuit.

The present invention relates to an apparatus () for applying energy to an object (), wherein the apparatus () comprises an energy emitting element, a temperature sensor and a tube (), in which the energy emitting element and the temperature sensor are locatable. The energy emitting elements is adapting for applying energy to the object () and the temperature sensor is adapted for sensing the temperature of the object (). Both, the energy emitting element and the temperature sensor can be guided to a location of the object (), at which the energy is to be applied.

Apparatus, a method and a computer program for applying energy to an object

It is provided a capacitive type proximity sensor, comprising a sensing electrode, whereas the sensing electrode has a surface with electroconductive areasand not-electroconductive areas, whereas the sensor is adapted for measuring an electrical fieldbetween the sensing electrode and an object. Capacitive type proximity sensor

A gamma camera () includes at least one radiation detector head (). At least one such radiation detector head () includes a plurality of capacitive elements () disposed over at least a radiation sensitive portion () of the radiation detector head. A proximity sensor monitor () is coupled with the plurality of capacitive elements to detect proximity of a subject to the radiation detector head based on a measured electrical characteristic of the capacitive elements. A collision sensor monitor () is coupled with the plurality of capacitive elements to detect conductive electric current flowing between spaced apart parallel conductive plates () of the capacitive element responsive to mechanical deformation of the spacing between the plates.

Detector head proximity sensing and collision avoidance apparatuses and methods

Transducer for converting mechanical vibrations into corresponding electrical signals. Two separate coils are disposed in permanent magnetic fields produced by a magnet assembly. The coils on the one hand and the magnetic assembly on the other are mounted for movement relative to each other. The magnet assembly is structured and disposed relative to said two coils respectively so as to reduce the electromagnetic coupling between the two coils to zero, while having an electromagnetic coupling only between a respective one of said coils and said magnet assembly. In a composite seismometer comprising a transducer of the above-described type and an amplifier, one of said coils is connected to the amplifier input, while the other one of said coils is included in a feedback circuit for said amplifier. When mechanical vibrations are applied to the composite seismometer, the velocity difference between the inertial mass of the transducer and the housing thereof is reduced to zero by the action of the electromagnetic forces caused by the current transversing said coil included in said feedback circuit.
