A toner and developer composition comprised of polysilylenes, poly(germylenes), or mixtures thereof.

A process for the preparation of high weight average molecular weight polysilylenes which comprises (1) simultaneously adding an alkali metal and a dihalodisubstituted silane monomer to a solvent; (2) heating the aforementioned mixture, followed by cooling; and (3) subsequently separating the product therefrom.

Photoresponsive imaging members with oxygenated polysilylenes

Photoresponsive imaging members comprised of hole transporting polysilylene compounds with a single peak molecular weight distribution, and wherein the polysilylenes selected have excluded therefrom molecular weight fractions of less than 50,000 thereby enabling, for example, the resulting imaging members to be substantially resistant to liquid ink developer compositions for an extended number of imaging cycles when these members are incorporated into electrostatographic imaging devices.

Photoresponsive imaging members with high molecular weight polysilylene

A photoresponsive imaging member comprised of a supporting substrate, a photogenerating layer, and a hole transporting layer comprised of a polysilylene stabilized with a component possessing an ionization potential equal to or greater than the polysilylene.
