According to some embodiments, an adjustable assembly for a bicycle includes a lower tubular support configured to be attached to a bicycle frame; an upper tubular support configured to be attached to a bicycle saddle; an expansion portion support member positioned within an interior space of the lower tubular support; an expansion portion disposed at an upper end of the expansion portion support member; and a resilient member configured to provide an upwardly-directed force to the upper tubular support to provide movement of the upper tubular support away from the lower tubular support.

Adjustable assembly for a bicycle

A shock absorber formed of an inner tubular element telescopingly slidable within an outer tubular element. A piston is mounted on the inner tubular element and is provided with valving that permits adjustability of compression damping separate from rebound damping. Preferably, the piston slides within a glide tube substantially concentrically mounted within the outer tubular and having a highly finished surface along which the piston slides. A first chamber is formed within the glide tube a second chamber is formed between the outer tubular element and the glide tube. Valves are positioned between these first and second chambers to control compression flow and rebound flow separately and independently. A main compression spring is positioned external to and between the inner and outer tubular elements of the shock absorber, and acts to bias the tubular elements away from each other. A gas chamber positioned within the inner tubular element serves to assist the main compression spring in biasing the inner and outer tubular elements, and also acts as part of a volume compensation system when the shock absorber is compressed and expanded.

Adjustable twin tube shock absorber

A cosmetic pencil for dispensing a soft cosmetic mass. A lower barrel holds an elongated push rod which has external threads which move outwardly of the lower barrel when it is turned with respect to a hollow sheath. The cosmetic mass is held in the hollow sheath and two flexible arms at the base of the hollow sheath contact the external threads on the push rod. In this way the push rod may be inserted radially between the flexible arms and need not be threaded in from the bottom of the flexible arms.

A device for facilitating the dispensing of the contents of a collapsible tube. The device has a turn key member which is supported in a frame. The frame has a tube contact face which is preferably curved. The turn key has a handle. To dispense of the contents of a tube, the bottom of the tube is placed in a slot in the turn key member and the tube rests against the face of a tube support member. As the turn key is turned the tube winds around the turn key and the portion of the tube that winds around the turn key is exposed to the user's touch.

Device for dispensing the contents of collapsible tube

A cosmetic pencil for dispensing a soft cosmetic mass having a push rod with an extended head. The cosmetic pencil has a barrel and a hollow sheath is rotatingly held by the barrel. A threaded push rod is keyed so that it turns with the barrel and the sheath has threads near the base of its inner end and as the sheath and barrel are turned with respect to each other the push rod moves outwardly out of the barrel and pushes the cosmetic mass out of the sheath. The head on the threaded push rod is enlarged and may be inserted downstream of the threaded portion of the sheath by a slot and a half thread which permits the widened portion of the push rod to be snapped in front of the threads so that it does not interfere with the threads. The threaded push rod may also have a separate piston snapped thereon. Also the sheath is provided with one way pawls which snap in and out of the grooves on the inside surface of the barrel indicating that the sheath and barrel are being turned with respect to one another.

Cosmetic pencil

A cosmetic pencil for dispensing a soft cosmetic mass. The cosmetic pencil has a hollow barrel which has an elongated push rod within it. A hollow sheath moves downwardly into the barrel. The push rod is grooved and the sheath has at least one tab which moves in and out of the push rod to provide a click or tactile feel as the cosmetic mass is dispensed. A sleeve within the sheath permits the cosmetic mass to be retracted into the sheath.

A cosmetic pencil for dispensing a soft cosmetic mass. The pencil has a hollow barrel in which a threaded push rod is held. A hollow sheath is filled with a cosmetic mass and threads are provided between the sheath and the push rod so that when the push rod is turned with respect to the sheath the sheath descends into the barrel and the cosmetic mass is exposed by the descending sheath. The relative turning may be either provided by turning the sheath while holding the barrel or turning an actuator at the base of the barrel while holding the barrel. Elongated notches are formed on the inner surface of the barrel and one or more pawls move in and out of the notches and permit the pencil and sheath to be turned in only one direction.

A Variable orifice sealing valve made from a thin, elastic cylinder. The cylinder is retained at both ends, and one end is twisted with respect to the other end thereby reducing the fluid flow path through the center of the cylinder. The device is particularly useful for medical procedures such as in conjunction with a catheter.

A cosmetic pencil capable of advancing a soft cosmetic mass a short predetermined distance. The pencil has a lower barrel which includes a gripping disk stop. A hollow sheath member is held in the lower barrel and has an outwardly facing cam surface. A holding tube is rotatably inserted into the lower barrel and surrounds the sheath member. The holding tube also has a cam surface, and a spring member and gripping disk surround a push rod which extends into the center portion of the sheath which holds the soft cosmetic mass. Turning the holding tube forces the sheath inwardly, and the gripping disk holds the push rod steady with respect to the lower barrel and, thus, a small amount of cosmetic mass is moved upwardly by the movement of the sheath with respect to the push rod.

A cosmetic pencil containing a cosmetic mass in a thin pencil lead-like configuration. The pencil has a cosmetic mass or crayon-containing sheath and the cosmetic mass may be metered from the pencil by moving a gripping disk inwardly with respect to the sheath. This is done by turning the sheath, by moving it inwardly with respect to the pencil or by pushing a button at the back of the pencil. The mass is forced out of the sheath in a small, metered amount. The cosmetic mass may be cast in the sheath.

Cosmetic pencil having advanceable cosmetic mass

A cosmetic applicator, such as a lipstick applicator, includes an inner cosmetic holder or cup in which a cosmetic mass or lipstick is securable and which is disposed within an outer cylindrical tubular member, the holder or cup being shiftable in forward and rearward directions to propel the cosmetic mass or lipstick out of the tubular member or to retract it therewithin. A transparent enclosing cap can be moved over the tubular member when the holder and cosmetic mass or lipstick are in retracted position to protect the internal mass or lipstick. The base of the cap carries an opaque dummy lipstick top simulating the shape of the lipstick or other cosmetic mass disposed in the holder or cup, the dummy top having a shade matching that of the lipstick. The dummy lipstick top can be seen through the transparent cap to indicate the shade of the lipstick without removing the cap. The dummy top covers the outer end portion of the lipstick and guards or shields it against the harmful effects of ultraviolet light.
