An electrical connector or electrical connector assembly that has a housing, a contact carrier, one or more spring members, and an interposer or contact system. The contact carrier is movable with respect to the housing between unmated and mated electrical positions.

Spring loaded electrical connector

An electrical connector or electrical connector assembly that has a housing, a contact carrier, one or more spring members, and an interposer. The contact carrier is movable with respect to the housing between unmated and mated electrical positions.

An electrical connector that has a housing, a contact carrier slidably coupled to the housing, at least one spring member received inside of the housing and adjacent the contact carrier for abutment with the contact carrier, and an interposer received in the receiving end of the contact carrier and remote from the spring member. The contact carrier is slidable with respect to the housing along a mating axis between unmated and mated positions.

An electrical connector that has a housing with a mating interface end section, an opposite cable termination end section, and an inner support member. A core is slidably coupled to the inner support member of the housing and includes a receiving end and a spring engagement end. A spring member is received inside of the housing and behind the core for abutment with the spring engagement end of the core. An interposer may be received in the receiving end of the core and remote from the spring member. The core is axially slidable with respect to the inner support member along a longitudinal axis of the housing between an unmated position, in which the spring member pushes the core outwardly away from the cable termination end of the housing, and a mated position, in which the core pushes inwardly against the spring member.

A lever assembly. The assembly may include a lever, a shaft coupled to the lever for supporting pivotal movement of the lever, a magnet coupled to the lever, the magnet being configured to rotate upon pivotal movement of the lever, and magnetic field sensor positioned adjacent the magnet for providing an output representative to position of the lever.

Interchangable lever assemblies

A load sensor includes a housing and a magnet carrier axially movable within the housing. A first and a second magnet are coupled to the magnet carrier in an axially spaced apart arrangement and oriented to provide repelling magnetic fields. The magnet carrier and the first and second magnets are axially movable relative to the magnetic field sensor, and the magnetic field sensor is configured to provide an output that is indicative of the position of the magnetic filed sensor relative to the first and second magnets.

Linear position sensor

A seat belt tension sensor assembly including magnets oriented to reduce assembly size comprises a pull plate having portions defining a belt loop opening for receiving seat belt webbing and a sensor opening. First and second magnets are coupled to the pull plate on opposite sides of the sensor opening and are oriented with a first pole adjacent the sensor opening and second pole positioned away from the opening toward a side of the sensor assembly. A sensor disposed in the sensor opening is configured to provide an output in response to flux imparted thereto by the magnets. At least one projection extends from the sensor opening of the pull plate generally towards the sensor and is configured to direct magnetic flux from the magnets in a closed-loop path through the sensor. Upon application of tension to the seat belt webbing, the pull plate is configured to move along a first axis of the seat belt tension sensor assembly relative to the sensor. The output of the sensor is indicative of a level of the tension.

Seat belt tension sensor

A rotary position sensing including a first and second magnet spaced from one another. A first and second triangular magnetic flux director are arranged in a generally diamond shaped configured with an air gap between the two magnetic flux directors. A magnetic field sensor system is positioned in the air gap between the magnetic flux directors. The magnets and the magnetic flux directors, with the magnetic field sensor system in the air gap, are rotatable relative to one another about an axis generally normal to a plane including the magnets and magnetic flux directors. The magnetic field sensor system provides an output in response to a rotational position of the magnets relative to the magnetic flux directors.

Rotary sensor

A seat buckle sensor system is provided that provides an output representative of a lock condition of a seat belt buckle. The system includes a magnet on an end of a seat buckle lock pin and a Hall device. The lock pin, and magnet on the end thereof, move between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to the Hall device. The magnet imparts a first magnetic flux on the Hall device in the locked position causing the Hall device to produce a first output. The magnet imparts a second magnetic flux on the Hall device in the unlocked position causing the Hall device to produce a second output.

Seat buckle sensor

A seat belt tension sensor for sensing tension in a seat belt. The sensor includes a main plate and a travel member moveable relative to the main plate against a spring force. A sensor provides an output in response to the relative movement indicative of the tension applied to the seat belt. The spring force may be provided by one or more leaf springs.
