A computer system, portable electronic device, and method are provided for preventing accidental enabling of a disabled display and/or graphical user interface (GUI) of the display screen. The computer, device, and method hereof enable the display screen by first detecting the difference between an accidental or unintended touch on the display screen and a purposeful user interaction. An accidental touch actuation can cause a button to appear on the display, yet the display and GUI remain disabled or 'locked'. It is not until the user actuates the button for a predetermined amount of time will the display and GUI be restored to an enabled or 'unlocked' state. If purposeful user interaction is detected, the display screen is immediately transitioned from a disabled to enabled state to quickly awaken the computer system or portable electronic device.

An accessory holder system for securing a Personal Electronic Device (PED) for use in a golf cart whereby a golfer can easily view golf course GPS information on a display. The system includes a mount for insertion into a golf ball holder disposed in a golf cart; and an accessory holder for attachment and adjustment of the viewing angle of a PED in a variety of golf cart configurations. The accessory holder is typically composed of a mount with an attached rod for displacing an accessory away from interference with the golf cart dash board; a ball joint with a tensioning cap attached to the rod for adjusting the viewing position of an accessory; with a platform for mounting an accessory attached to the other end of the rod. The mount includes surface features which provide rotational stability for an accessory holder without relying on a friction-fit.

A wireless docking system and method is provided for monitoring the use of one or more docking stations by multiple portable computers. The system and method provides for the intelligent management of docking stations and connected resources by implementing a protocol that takes into account the identity of the user insofar as one user my have priority to the use of a docking station, the length of time an inactive computer has been connected to a docking station, whether another user requests the use of the docking station, whether the strength of the communication signals between a wireless docking station and computer is adequate to support the use of the docking station, and whether a user wishes to terminate a connection with a docking station.

The invention provides a business platform, a business entity management system, and a software module that can be used in conjunction with the software service framework. The invention mimics actual business relationships between business entities, and uses a software service module to configure the business entities into a network that comprises at least three generations of business entities, wherein role dependent associations mimicking real life business relationships are established between the business entities. In addition, information as defined by business objects are configured to permit or deny access and manipulation based on user roles. Accordingly, the invention permits a user role in one business entity to potentially access information of a plurality of other associated business entities through a common business platform, based on the role of the user and the configuration of the business objects.
