The invention relates to a latex ink composition, the latex ink composition comprising a water soluble resin. The invention further relates to a water soluble resin suitable for a latex ink composition, the water soluble resin comprising a backbone and a stabilizing group, wherein the stabilizing group is capable of forming hydrogen bonds. The invention further relates to the use of a water soluble resin in a latex ink composition.

The invention relates to an ink composition including a water-dispersed resin a water dispersible colorant and water and wherein the ink composition further includes a co-solvent, wherein the co-solvent is selected from the group consisting of saccharides and co-solvents having a ring structure, wherein the ring structure contains a 5-membered, a 6-membered or a 7-membered ring. Additionally, the ink composition includes a cyclodextrin compound. The invention further relates to a method for preparing such ink compositions and to a method for applying an image onto a receiving medium using such ink composition.

A hot melt ink composition includes a copolyester, the copolyester consisting essentially of a condensation product of a first type of monomer, a second type of monomer and a third type of monomer, wherein the first type of monomer comprises at least one monomer A selected from the group of polyhydroxyl alcohols comprising X hydroxyl functional groups, wherein X&#x2267;3, wherein the second type of monomer comprises at least one monomer B selected from the group of monomers being able to form an ester linkage with an alcohol and wherein the third type of monomer comprises at least one monomer C selected from the group of aromatic monocarboxylic acids. A method for preparing such copolyesters and a hot melt ink composition includes a mixture of such copolyesters.

Disclosed is a reusable print medium having a substrate and a sacrificial layer. The sacrificial layer contains a hotmelt composition at least having an amorphous material. The amorphous material is a reaction product of a first monomer A, said first monomer A being a polyhydroxyl alcohol comprising X hydroxyl functional groups, wherein X&#x2267;2, monomer A optionally comprises a primary or secondary amine functionality; a second monomer B, being an aromatic monocarboxylic acid; a third monomer C, said third monomer C being able to form an ester linkage with an alcohol and/or an amide linkage with a primary or secondary amine; and optionally, a fourth monomer D, being an aromatic monocarboxylic acid different from the second monomer B. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing a reusable print medium, a method of printing and recycling a print medium and an apparatus for printing and recycling a print medium.

Reusable print medium and method of manufacturing thereof

An ink composition for a meltable ink, usable in printing devices in which ink droplets are ejected from ducts, which composition contains a meltable base material, wherein the ink composition also contains an amorphously setting monomer compound and an amorphous polymer or oligomer binder and the base material is a crystalline-setting monomer compound. The flow and setting properties and the stiffness of the ink is adjusted by the choice and relative proportion of the constituents.

A fluorine-doped tin oxide powder is prepared by combining a solution of a stannic salt with a solution of a fluoride, separating the tin hydroxide from the liquid and drying it at a temperature not exceeding about room temperature and heating the dried product to at least 500.degree. C., until the fluorine content is less than 10% and preferably is between 1 and 5% by weight. The fluorine-doped tin oxide powder of the invention can be used for the manufacture of electrically conductive toner powder.

Process for preparing a fluorine-doped tin oxide powder

A toner powder comprising toner particles which carry on their surface and/or in an edge zone close to the surface fine particles of electrically conductive material consisting of fluorine-doped tin oxide. The fluorine-doped tin oxide particles have a primary particle size of less than 0.2 micrometer and a specific electrical resistance of at most 50 ohms.meter. The fluorine content of the tin oxide is less than 10% by weight, and preferably is from 1 to 5% by weight.
