A drive unit provided with an end position recognition device includes a radially projecting cam (27) connected to a driveshaft (20) of the drive unit, for reducing the stroke travel of the unit. The radially projecting cam engages, from tooth to tooth, into the inner toothing of a ratchet wheel (110), rotatable about an axis of rotation (111) that is offset and parallel to an axis of the driveshaft (20). The end position recognition device can be retrofitted and is preferably capable of operating even in the case of emergency manual actuation. The cam (27) has a sufficient axial stroke lift such that, in the case of emergency manual actuation, it nonetheless meshes with the ratchet wheel (110) even when the driveshaft (20) is displaced axially.

A high degree of freedom from noise is possible with a simple manufacturing technique for a small commutator motor by virtue of the fact that brush boxes are permanently mounted on parts of a brush plate and lockable by molded locking pins in locking openings of a base mounted on a motor housing with a gap therebetween. Damping sleeves may be premounted into the base edgewise with through openings for locking pins.

A rotation detector for a magnet wheel which is high-resolution, precise and at the same time only requires the space of a single differential Hall IC, has combined on a single electronic component the circuitry equivalent to at least two differential Hall IC's. The electronic component derives a digital signal sequence that has a frequency twice the frequency of a signal that can be derived from a single differential Hall circuit by coupling the output signals of the differential Hall circuits. Additionally, only three Hall sensors are required to form the difference signals necessary to derive the digital signal sequence by using one Hall sensor as a reference for the remaining two Hall sensors.

An apparatus for limiting the axial play of the shaft of a motor drive mechanism wherein the precise setting of the axial play (&lt;&lt;0.05 mm) is possible in a simple manner using production and assembly technology. A deformable guard plate, which is secured on its marginal side by a setscrew, in particular a standard production screw, is axially pressed in a contact zone until the desired axial play is achieved. The setscrew is axially supported in front on the case side.

The two bearing brackets (4, 5) of a small motor are clamped by means of stud screws (2, 3) against the respective end face of the motor casing (1). The stud screws (2, 3) extend axially by free bolt ends (21, 31) beyond one bearing bracket (5). Onto these free bolt ends (21, 31), a holding frame for the small motor is placed and is fixed against the bearing bracket (5) by means of a holding nut to be screwed onto the free bolt ends (21, 31). The screw heads (22, 23) provided at the stud screw ends are held positively in the one bearing bracket (4) to prevent their rotation with respect to the casing and onto the other, axially projecting free bolt end (21, 31) an attachment nut (23, 33) is screwed applying firmly against the other bearing bracket (5).

Housing for a small motor

For a simple adjustment, suitable for automation, of the axial play between the rotor (1, 2) and the stator (5 to 8) of a miniature electric motor, at least one bearing (3) is axially moved relative to its bearing sleeve (51) in the end bell (5) and is fixed in its adjustment position by deformation of the bearing sleeve in a form-locking manner. For axial fixation, especially when used for drives with large axial loads, a thrust shoulder (511, 512) is formed after the axial play is adjusted for the axial contact of the adjusted bearing (15) from the bearing sleeve (51) by hot molding, ultrasonic heat deformation. Alternatively, precut tabs may be formed on the sleeve by embossing to form a thrust shoulder.

Method for adjusting the axial play between the rotor and a motor

A coil body is provided for a small synchronous motor with a stator housing surrounding the wound coil body. The winding ends and the connector ends are soldered to the connector pins which are fastened to the one frontal flange of the coil body with a radially overhanging connecting end. The overhanging connecting end with the soldered-on winding and connecting line ends are bent inwards towards the other frontal flange and are overlapped by a swivel cover with slot openings hinge-mounted on the other facing frontal flange in which the connector pins can be held in place to relieve the strain and insulate them from the surrounding stator housing.
