An annular safety valve that is positionable in a wellbore may include a housing having an opening extending through the housing to allow to allow pressure to transmit between a first annular area of the wellbore below the annular safety valve and a second annular area of the wellbore above the annular safety valve. The housing can define the opening by a seat face. A poppet may extend through the opening. A groove may at least partially surrounding the seat face for maintaining a shape of the seat face in response to an increase in pressure in the first area of the wellbore. The shape of the seat face may correspond to a surface of the poppet for preventing pressure from transmitting between the first annular area of the wellbore and the second annular area of the wellbore when the annular safety valve is in a closed position.

Embodiments of a debris catcher and a debris catching system are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a debris catching system comprises a plug and a debris catcher, the debris catcher including at least a debris catching sleeve, a running tool coupled to the debris catching sleeve, the running tool including an uphole end and a downhole end, and further wherein the uphole end of the running tool is configured to slide to engage a downhole end of the debris catching sleeve and form a collection base of the debris catcher; and a coupling rod attached to the uphole end of the running tool, the coupling rod configured to engage a downhole setting device; wherein the plug is removably coupled with the downhole end of the running tool during downhole deployment of the debris catching system.

Integrated debris catcher and plug system

A lower packer, seal stinger, upper packer, running tool, and setting tool is positioned into the wellbore. A force is applied by the setting tool, which causes the seal stinger to be pushed into a seal receptacle of the lower packer. The seal stinger is pushed by pushing the running tool which causes the upper packer to be pushed which causes the seal stinger to be pushed. A force is also applied by an internal rod of the setting tool to pull the running tool which causes the running tool to hold the lower packer in place as the seal stinger is pushed into the seal receptacle. The running tool and setting tool is then removed from the wellbore, wherein the lower packer, seal stinger, and upper packer comprise the straddle assembly.

A downhole retrievable dual directional isolation tool, comprising a mandrel, a compressor ring concentric with the mandrel, and a packing element concentric with the mandrel and having an outer surface defining a plurality of grooves. A downhole retrievable dual directional isolation tool, comprising a mandrel, a packing element concentric with the mandrel, a compressor ring concentric with the mandrel and having a first side wall proximate to a second side wall of the packing element, and a stop ring concentric with the mandrel having a third side wall proximate to a fourth side wall of the packing element, wherein the first side wall of the compressor ring or the third side wall of the stop ring have a circumferential land, whereby in a set state of the tool a contact area between the circumferential land and the second side wall of the packing element or the fourth side wall of the packing element achieves higher contact pressure.

A ball valve comprising a housing, a ball seat disposed within the housing, and a ball rotatably movable within the housing, and engageable with the ball seat in order to provide a seal within the ball valve and the ball seat, wherein the ball seat comprises multiple seat surfaces independently capable of engaging the ball, a first seat surface engaging the ball to form a first seal, and being arranged such that pressure acting from above pushes the first seat surface against the ball; a second seat surface being movable relative to the first seat surface and engaging the ball to form a second seal, the second seat surface being arranged such that pressure acting from below causes the second seat surface to move relative to the first seat surface and pushes the second seat surface into contact with the ball.
