A glass dish suitable for use in cooking applications is provided. The glass dish comprises a substantially homogenous glass body, a channel formed in a bottom surface of the glass body and a silicone support. The channel has an open end and an inner surface comprised of a substantially planar bottom wall, an inner sidewall and an outer sidewall. The channel has a predetermined depth D, and an open end of the channel has a predetermined width W. The silicone support is comprised of a protruding extent and an interior extent. The interior extent is disposed within the channel and directly contacts a portion of the inner surface and is adhered to the inner surface of the channel by chemical adhesion. The protruding extent protrudes beyond the open end of the channel.

The present invention provides a food preparation board with multiple and distinct measurement zones. The food preparation board comprises a work surface that is provided for preparation of a food item thereon, and is sized to receive at least a portion of the food item. A rest surface is located opposite the work surface. A first measurement zone is defined by a first portion of the work surface. The first measurement zone is comprised of a first plurality of measurement indicia corresponding to a first measurement scale. A second measurement zone is defined by a distinct second portion of the work surface, the second measurement zone is comprised of a second plurality of measurement indicia corresponding to a second measurement scale. The second measurement scale is different than the first measurement scale.

A glass dish suitable for use in cooking applications is provided. The channel has a predetermined depth D, and an open end of the channel has a predetermined width W. The silicone gripping surface is comprised of a protruding extent and an interior extent. The interior extent is disposed within the channel and directly contacts a portion of the inner surface and is adhered to the inner surface of the channel by chemical adhesion. The protruding extent protrudes beyond the open end of the channel.

A container assembly is provided, including a container and a flexible lid. The container includes a base, and a sidewall extending upwardly and outwardly from the periphery of the base toward an open upper end defining a container opening. A rounded-ridge extends upwardly outward from the upper end. The flexible lid has an inner rim and an outer rim. An interior portion of the inner rim forms a mechanical lock with a peripheral edge on the lower base of the container thereby preventing loss of the lid, while also providing a more stable container assembly. The outer rim forms a mechanical lock with the rounded ridge to close the upper end of the container during use.
