A valve and dispensing assembly for dispensing powdered material from a container includes a flexible tube intended to be collapsed to actuate a valve which permits the tube to selectively open for dispensing the material through the tube. The assembly includes a flexible tube apparatus including a body attachable to the container and a valve releasably received within the tube and normally closing it off. Collapse of the tube causes it to move relatively of the valve to unseat it and open the tube for material discharge. The assembly also includes a declumper secured to the tube for movement therewith during collapse of the tube. The valve closes off the tube when in its uncollapsed condition while the tube and declumper move relatively of the valve during collapse to open the tube. A portion of the declumper is bifurcated and has serrated opposed edges which can engage the head of the valve during the tube collapse to assist in breaking up clumps which may have formed in the material.

A reclosable container for storing and dispensing articles includes a body with a hinged base which can be opened for insertion of a supply of the articles and a cover, hinged to the body for access to the stored articles. The body and both the base and the cover have complementally configured locking projections and depressions so that they may be locked together in the closed position to seal off the interior. The cover also has a complemental configuration to the peripheral configuration surrounding an opening in the body to provide interlocking and surface to surface contact therebetween to further insure a substantially airtight seal therebetween. Also the top of the body, including the cover, and the base are of a complemental concave/convex configuration on to facilitate nesting of multiple containers.

Dispensing container

A container and applicator combination includes a container for a product and an applicator for the product. The container has at least one pair of engagement grooves disposed so as to receive and engage the applicator which is thus releasably attached to the container. The applicator has a handle base and projecting, container engaging legs which can be snapped into releasable engagement with the engagement grooves in the container and is configured substantially complemental to at least a portion of the container configuration.

A dispenser for dispensing fluid material from a replaceable container received within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a cover attached to a base mounting plate for movement longitudinally and pivotally with respect thereto and into and out of covering relationship therewith and a latch carried by the base mounting plate and movable into and out of locking engagement with the cover in response to actuation of a lever easily accessible in the closed condition. The cover has a large sight window occupying a substantial portion of its surface and enabling a substantial portion of one face of the container to be viewed when the cover is closed. Material is dispensed by actuating a pressure bar and an adjustable stop is provided to selectively vary the range of movement of the pressure bar and the amount of material dispensed.

A mounting bracket for supporting a container of the type having a handle projecting from one surface of its body and forming a through opening between the handle and the body includes a back wall and an integral side wall which projects from the back wall and a locating member which projects from the back wall substantially parallel to the side wall so that it may engage the handle opening of the container. The back wall and side wall present a forward surface configured complementally to the outer configuration of the container so that the container may engage it when mourned on the locating arm. The locating member has an elongate rib along its lower edge to ensure snug engagement with the container and the side wall has a retention member which projects from its forward edge toward the locating member to prevent inadvertent dislocation of the container from the arm.

Dispenser for soap or similar viscous material

A dispenser for dispensing soap from a container including a flexible, collapsible tube in fluid communication with the container. The dispenser includes a back plate which has a cover pivotally connected to it for movement between open and closed positions. The cover has a recessed front surface with an enlarged sight window for viewing the contents. The back plate receives the container and tube with the tube having fitments at its proximal and distal ends for mating engagement with complemental fitment locators on the back plate. The cover carries ramps which engage the fitments on closing to insure seating thereof. An output restrictor is releasably received on the back plate for limiting the stroke of a pressure applying handle carried by the cover.

A fluid dispenser for use with a source of fluid having a flexible, valveless dispensing tube includes a base unit for support of the fluid source and a closure member normally closing off the end of the tube. The dispenser carries a cam and spring assembly which, upon the application of the hand pressure, moves a roller into engagement with the tube and moves the closure member out of engagement with the tube to open the end thereof and permit the fluid to be ejected therefrom.
