A dust collector for a power tool, such as a scroll saw, wherein the saw may include a base, a table supported by the base and a blade passing through a slot in the table. The dust collector may include a container defining an accumulation chamber and having an inlet port for collecting dust from the blade, a notch for receiving an assembly attached to the base and a locking device for removably attaching the container to the base. The dust collector may further include an outlet port for connecting a vacuum hose. The scroll saw may also include a removable storage drawer.

A cutting device, such as a beveling miter saw, includes a base, a work table supported on the base, and a cutting unit operably connected to the base. The work table includes a workpiece support surface and a stop portion. The cutting unit is selectively rotatable about a first axis between leftward and rightward bevel positions relative to the workpiece support surface. A rotatable stop member is coupled to the cutting unit and is selectively rotatable relative to the cutting unit to selectively contact the stop portion to thereby prevent rotation of the cutting unit in one direction about the first axis. The rotatable stop member and the stop portion may be positioned so that those elements contact when the cutting unit is at a predetermined bevel position, such as a vertical (0&deg;) bevel position, relative to the workpiece support surface.

Miter saw

Apparatus for releasably adjusting a position of a first portion of a device relative to a second portion of the device. The first portion includes a first surface, and the second portion includes a second surface. A workpiece support surface is defined by the first and second surfaces, and the first surface is rotatable relative to the second surface. A locking mechanism is provided to selectively restrain rotation of the first surface relative to the second surface. An indexing mechanism optionally is provided including a detent mechanism which selectively restrains rotation of the first surface relative to the second surface in one of a plurality of predetermined positions.

Apparatus includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a first surface and the second member includes a driven member. The second member is movable relative to said first member between a first position and a second position, wherein the driven member is closer to the first surface in the second position than in the first position. The second member includes an inlet, an outlet, and an enclosed pathway between the inlet and the outlet. A collector is movably coupled to the second member at the inlet and communicates with the inlet.

Apparatus for supporting an object which includes at least two leg members attached to and capable of folding under an object-supporting surface. The leg members are pivotally attached to the object-supporting surface at pivot axes offset from one another relative to the object-supporting surface so that the leg members may fold under the object-supporting surface without interfering with one another. The apparatus includes diagonal supports, attached from the leg members to the object-supporting surface, which are designed to fold with the leg members. The apparatus may also include side rails defining the object-supporting surface. The side rails are configured to releasably attach to a specially configured base portion on an object such as a miter saw.
