HIFU treatment of localized prostate cancer includes identifying the cancer locations in a patient's prostate and visually segmenting the patient's prostate into areas for analysis and treatment. The section including the most aggressive cancer is determined to be the primary area and subjected to a first full HIFU treatment for a period intended to ablate the cancer. HIFU treatment is then stopped on the primary area, allowing it to rest, while simultaneously subjecting the next contiguous area of the prostate to HIFU treatment to ablate any additional areas of suspected cancer. HIFU treatment is then stopped in the contiguous area. The primary area is then subjected to a second full HIFU treatment for a period sufficient to ensure the complete ablation of the cancerous tumor. Repeating alternating full HIFU treatment on subsequent contiguous areas of the prostate ensures the complete ablation of any cancerous tumors in the prostate.

Treatment of prostate cancer using enhanced energy application (EEA) in high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) procedures

The present invention is directed to a method of detecting prostatitis comprising obtaining an expressed prostatic secretion from a patient; contacting a device having diagnostic test reagents to the expressed prostatic secretion, the diagnostic test reagents reacting with the expressed prostatic secretion to produce a change in the device; reading the change in the device to produce a positive or negative experimental test result, wherein the experimental test result is positive when the experimental test result is pre-determined to correspond with a number above 10 for the number of white blood cell per high powered field and the experimental test result is negative when the experimental test result corresponds with a number of 10 or less for the number of white blood cell per high powered field; and determining presence of prostatitis with the positive experimental test result and the absence of prostatitis with the negative experimental test result. The present invention is also directed to a device for use in the inventive method. The device has two indicators, one for the presence of prostatitis and one for the absence of prostatitis.

Detection of prostatitis

A composition providing an all-natural, non-surgical preventative of or improvement to disorders of the prostate gland is described. The invention relates to a composition for the prevention of or improvement of prostatitis, and for relieving symptoms and improving objective signs of prostatitis. The formula of the composition preferably includes the following ingredients each in a therapeutically effective amount: Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, zinc, glycine, L-alanine, Glutamic acid, Saw palmetto, Pygeum extract, Pumpkin seed, Stinging nettle, Echinacea, garlic, Ginkgo leaves, and selenium.

Prostate formula

The grapple system of the present invention is intended for use with a front-end loader or other type equipment which specialize in gripping and moving heavy loads. The grapple system includes a stationary jaw assembly that is comprised of a series of spaced apart fingers and which is adapted to be secured to a mounting fixture on the front loading equipment. Rotatably secured to the stationary jaw assembly, by a generally horizontal main shaft, is a movable jaw assembly. Also disposed about the main shaft is a T-shaped lever arm connector, which, along with a pair of hydraulic actuators, comprise an actuating linkage assembly. More particularly, the hydraulic actuators are disposed in a series configuration, with the T-shaped connector serving as an intermediate connecting link between the two actuators. The free end of one actuator is attached to the stationary jaw assembly, while the free end of the remaining actuator is attached in a similar manner to the movable jaw assembly. Hydraulic fluid lines that supply the actuators are connected so as to form a parallel circuit which insures that both actuators operate in unison. The parallel fluid circuit also insures an even or balanced distribution of hydraulic force to both actuators. Consequently, the actuator in the series which is presented with the smallest effective load will be preferentially actuated.

Grapple system

The present invention relates to a bulk tobacco racking device that is designed to assist in loading and closing a sectional bulk tobacco rack of the type including a generaly U-shaped tine section, an elongated bar section, and a pair of latches that extend from said tine section which are adapted to engage and latch with said elongated bar section. The racking device of the present invention comprises a frame structure having a bottom and a pair of laterally spaced side frame assemblies disposed on opposite sides thereof for receiving respective sections of the rack during the loading and racking operation. At least one of said side frame assemblies is laterally adjustable to assure that the respective rack sections are properly fitted and disposed between the side frame assemblies. Each side frame assembly includes a guide structure for engaging a flange extending from the respective ends of said tine section such that the tine section is maintained in proper alignment as the same is pushed downwardly into engagement with said elongated bar section.

Bulk tobacco racking device

A method for killing grubs which comprises applying to the soil habitat of the grubs an insecticidally effective amount of a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and X, Y, Z and V are sulfur or oxygen.

Substituted oxadiazoles and their use as grub insecticides

A method for killing wire worms and flea beetles which comprises applying to the soil habitat of the wire worms and flea beetles an insecticidally effective amount of a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and X, Y, Z and V are sulfur or oxygen.

A method for killing corn root worms which comprises applying to the soil habitat of the root worms an insecticidally effective amount of a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or alkyl or alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and X, Y, Z and V are oxygen or sulfur.

Use of oxadiazole derivatives for corn root worm control

A combination bulk tobacco rack loader and unloader, and method of unloading a bulk tobacco rack is disclosed. The combination bulk tobacco rack loader and unloader comprises a generally open frame structure adapted in the unloading mode to receive filled bulk tobacco rack on its side with the plane of the tobacco leaves therein being generally horizontally disposed in overlying relationship, the bulk tobacco rack being of the type having first and second sections latched together and with tines fixed to at least one section and extending therefrom to penetrate and support the bulk volume of tobacco leaves peripherally contained therein. Once placed in the apparatus or device of the present invention, the same is adapted upon selective actuation to unlatch at least one latching mechanism associated with the bulk rack to allow one section of the rack to be pulled from the other section.
