The present disclosure pertains to detection of abnormal, risky, or aberrant conditions in a power distribution network and to corresponding trip signals being used to trip open devices such as reclosers upstream of where the abnormal condition is detected. Detection of a missing broadband over power-line signal or of an open circuit between phases of a power distribution circuit may prevent severed conductors from causing a ground fault, therefore avoiding the possibility of fire and dangerous conditions.

The present disclosure pertains to detection of abnormal, risky, or aberrant conditions in a power distribution network and to corresponding trip signals being used to trip open devices such as reclosers upstream of where the abnormal condition is detected. Detection of open phase on a distribution circuit prevents severed conductors from causing a ground fault, therefore avoiding the possibility of fire and dangerous conditions. The voltage unbalance may be measured using an end of line relay that includes an electrical sensor or relay, a tripping mechanism, and a signal transmitter.

Disclosed is a pulsation dampening system for high-pressure (e.g., 10K psi and higher) fluid lines. At high fluid flow pressures, the dampening system is a dual stage dampening system, responsive to low (e.g., when first charging the fluid line) and to very high-pressure pulsations. An external containment shell handles the full fluid flow pressures. One or more internal shells contain and handle the internal gas dampening system. The in-flow relationship of the gas dampening component assures that pressure differences between the internal gas handling system and the high-pressure fluid flow is always relatively small. This enables the gas handling components to be constructed of less robust material than the external shell (even though the gas system's internal pressure can equal that of the fluid flow), and be less susceptible to pressure failure.

Electric transmission line ground fault prevention systems using dual parameter monitoring with high sensitivity relay devices in parallel with low sensitivity relay devices

A manual food shredding device for shredding of a food item includes a base, an upright bowl, and an inverted bowl. The base is positionable on a substantially horizontal surface, such as a countertop. A food item can be positioned in the upright bowl, which is attached to an upper face of the base. A plurality of first spikes is attached to and extends from a bottom toward a top of the upright bowl. The inverted bowl is circumferentially larger than the upright bowl so that the upright bowl is selectively insertable into the inverted bowl. A plurality of second spikes is attached to and extends from an upper end toward a lower end of the inverted bowl. The inverted bowl can be grasped in a hand of a user and rotated by a user, thereby causing the first spikes and the second spikes to shred the food item.
