A system and method of grip force feedback for use with a prosthetic device is provided in the present invention. The system can include a prosthetic hand having a plurality of digits for use with the prosthetic device. A force sensor can be provided to produce a force signal and the force sensor is configured to be associated with the plurality of digits for the prosthetic hand. In addition, a force feedback controller can receive the force signal from the force sensor. A force feedback actuator is also in communication with the force feedback controller. The force feedback actuator can provide feedback vibrations to a user of the prosthetic device.

System and method for force feedback

A neural net sonic identification system includes an ultra-sonic emitter and receiver configured to detect characteristics of a subject by detecting reflections of the ultrasonic waves. The sonic reflections are processed by a neural network pattern recognition system that learns to recognize a particular subject and distinguish it from other subjects. The emitter/receiver is continuously optimized for phase, wavelength, spectral, and power frequencies, and the received sound 'picture' is written-over the previously stored encrypted image data file for a particular individual, so as to continuously update the processor's retained identification information. In one embodiment, the emitter/receiver comprises a solid-state multi-layer tunable array of piezoelectric emitters and receivers that can be selectively 'aimed' in different directions without physically moving by independently varying the wavelength and power of the various emitters/receivers.

Sonic identification system and method

The present invention features an portable, programmable interferential stimulator for the administering of neuromuscular electrotherapy to a human subject. A number of pre-programmed modulation modes are easily selectable using a keypad and a self-contained alpha-numeric display. Compliance data including the number, length and mode of usage sessions is captured and stored internally in non-volatile memory. Automatic shut-off at the end of a therapy session is also included. An optional bi-directional, serial interface allows for loading custom programs from an external computer session into the instant stimulator. The interface also allows for uploading compliance data to the external computer for analysis or archiving.

Programmable interferential stimulator

Computer operated projectors are positioned to project onto an uneven surface or relief map prepared to reflect a remote surface. If the remote surface is geographical, the surface is at a scale in which the horizontal scale is substantially larger than the vertical scale. A sound system provides surround sound. A second substrate or movie screen and projector are positioned to provide related video images.
