In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a frame configured to hold an electronic device. A back side of the frame includes a plurality of clips which are configured to receive a mounting rail. One or more retractable levers are attached at a first portion of each clip to prevent movement of the frame along the mounting rail. The frame includes a plurality of mounting apertures that are configured to receive the electronic device based on a plurality of mounting configurations. The frame is configured to attach onto the mounting rail via the clips in various orientations selected from the plurality of mounting configurations.

An apparatus to widen the light dispersion pattern of a light source shining through an overlay window from the viewing side of an electrical computer system. The overlay window is coupled to a panel of the system. The overlay window includes a transparent material, which has a first surface facing the light source and a second surface facing away from the light source to define a viewing side. An opaque material can be disposed on the first surface to partially cover the first surface to form a viewing window. A first diffusing mechanism is disposed on the first surface, and a second diffusing mechanism is disposed on the second surface. In response to the passage of the light output through the viewing window, the light dispersion pattern of the light output from the viewing side of the overlay window has a viewing angle of up to about 180 degrees.

According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for converting a telecommunication chassis includes providing a telecommunication chassis that includes a housing having a front and a rear, a backplane coupled to the housing, and a cable interface board having an inside surface and an outside surface coupled to the housing adjacent the rear of the housing, the outside surface facing the same general direction as the rear of the housing, and rotating the cable interface board such that the outside surface of the cable interface board faces the same general direction as the front of the housing.

Convertible telecommunication chassis and method for converting same

A system for housing telecommunications equipment includes a plurality of vertically disposed chassis, each chassis having a top that is substantially closed, two sides, two ends, and a base, wherein the top of each chassis is adapted to receive the base of an adjacent chassis. At least one vent is formed in each chassis adjacent the base for allowing air to enter the chassis, and at least one of the ends and one of the sides of the chassis are formed such that air may exit the chassis. The vent is disposed between the base and a portion of the chassis selected from the group consisting of either of the ends and either of the sides, and the vent is nonplanar in relation to that portion. More specifically, the chassis may be vertically disposed with substantially zero gap, and the vent member may be either an angled vent member or a notched vent member.

System and method for housing telecommunications equipment

A wall mount filter for an xDSL network is provided. Wall mount filter includes a wall mount plate to which a connection port is coupled. The connection port is operable to electrically couple to an electronic device. A low pass filter circuit is coupled to a back surface of the wall mount plate. The low pass filter circuit is in electrical connection with the connection port. The low pass filter circuit is operable to electrically couple to a premises network and is sized to fit within a wall mount outlet. The wall mount plate is operable to be coupled to the wall mount outlet with a front surface facing outward and the low pass filter circuit contained within the wall mount outlet.

Wall mount filter for a digital subscriber line (xDSL) network and methods of installation and manufacture

An xDSL modem assembly is provided. The assembly comprises a housing, a circuit board having xDSL electronics, and a multi-layer electromagnetic shield formed to receive the circuit board.
