A socket connector is configured to mount to a component, such as a printed circuit board. The socket connector includes a base having a passageway and a channel extending outwardly from the passageway, a barrel including a wall having a flange extending outwardly therefrom, at least one biasing member engaging the flange and surrounding the wall, and a contact seated within the barrel. The wall is seated within the passageway and the flange is seated within the channel. The barrel is configured for movement within the base to align a centerline of a pin inserted into the socket connector with a centerline of the hole of the component.

Floating socket connector

A connector system according to some embodiments of the disclosure includes first and second connectors. Each connector includes a housing, a terminal retainer having electrical terminals that are connected to a cable mounted therein. The housings are configured to mate together. One connector includes a locking protrusion on the housing, a first sleeve which is moveable relative to the housing, a second sleeve attached to the first sleeve and which is moveable relative to the first sleeve and relative to the housing, and a biasing member mounted between the first housing and the second sleeve. The biasing member is configured to bias the first and second sleeves toward a mating end. The housing of the second connector has a flexible finger configured to cause movement of the second sleeve relative to the first sleeve and further configured to releasably engage the locking protrusion on the first housing.

Electrical connector

A water resistant connector assembly includes first and second connectors. Each connector has a housing and a water resistant seal. Each connector is formed in a two-shot operation with the housing being formed of polypropylene and the seal being formed of a thermoplastic elastomer. The seal of one of the connectors has a portion that is provided on an outer surface thereof and has ribs which fold over in a direction opposite a water ingression direction when the second connector is connected to the first convector, thereby creating a seal between the connectors when they are connected. The seals of each of the connectors are also provided at terminal/wire insertion areas, and these seals ensure proper insertion of the terminal/wires. These seals may further include strain relief portions to provide resistance to angularity of the wire.

A connecter system is configured for macro motion. Two mating terminals are configured so that during macro motion cycles, the resistance between two terminals does not substantially increase. One terminal can have multiple, somewhat spherical-shaped mating surfaces while a mating surface on the other terminal can be flat. The mating terminals can be configured to provide desirable resistance performance after more than 5000 cycles of macro motion.

A connector system is configured for macro motion. Two mating terminals are configured so that during macro motion cycles, the resistance between two terminals does not substantially increase. One terminal can have multiple, somewhat spherical-shaped mating surfaces while a mating surface on the other terminal can be flat. The mating terminals can be configured to provide desirable resistance performance after more than 5000 cycles of macro motion.

The present application provides a connection device and a connector. The connector comprises a housing mounted on a circuit substrate and a plurality of terminals. The housing has a recessed region and a plurality of channels. The recessed region, together with the circuit substrate, forms a mating groove for mating a flexible circuit board, and the mating groove extends forwardly to a radius. The plurality of terminals correspond to the plurality of channels and each of the terminal includes a resilient contact arm. The resilient contact arm extends toward a surface of the circuit substrate in the corresponding channel of the housing and extends into the recessed region to form a contact portion. The connection device comprises the circuit substrate and the connector.

Substrate mounted flexible circuit board connector

A connector system includes a first connector with a housing. The housing supports a terminal with an aperture that is positioned adjacent a pocket. A ball is positioned in the pocket and is restrained by the terminal but is configured to partially extend through the aperture. A second connector includes a contact and a magnet attraction member. In operation, when the first and second connector are in a mated position, the ball is urged toward the magnetic attraction member due to a magnetic force and partially extends through the aperture so as to engage the contact, electrically connecting the terminal and the contact.

Power connector

A receptacle connector includes an insulative body, conductive terminals mounted therein, and a seal covering a central portion of the body. The receptacle connector mates with at least one mating electrical connector. The seal prevents the intrusion of dust into the joint between the receptacle connector and the mating electrical connector(s). The seal and the body have locking features provided thereon to secure the seal to the housing.
