A desk assembly with a frame, a seat, and a desk. The frame is configured to support the desk assembly on a horizontal surface and has guide rails extending between a first end and a second end of the frame. The seat is securely attached to the first end of the frame and has an adjustable position. The desk has a desk platform and legs that are movably coupled to the guide rails. The desk is vertically adjustable between a standing position where the desk platform is positioned at a first height and a sitting position where the desk platform is positioned at a second height lower than the first height. While in use, the frame is configured to remain stationary with respect to the horizontal surface and the desk is moveable along the guide rails between the first end and the second end of the frame.

Seat incorporated into desk platform

A chair base with a platform, at least one support, at least one void, and at least one bowl. The platform has a flat top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and a plurality of sides bordering the top surface. Each side may extend downward past the bottom surface and inward toward a center of the platform. The support extends up from the top surface of the platform and is configured to support a seat of the chair above the platform. The void extends through the platform and the bowl is sized and shaped to sit within the void. The bowl has a lip configured to engage with a rim of the void and restrict the bowl from entirely passing through the platform. The bowl may be removable from the void. The platform may be mounted on at least three wheels to mobilize the chair base.

An improved wet scrubber tray provides increased resistance to vibration-induced cracking. The self-supporting tray eliminates wastage of raw material, and additional internal stiffeners added to the tray make multiple intermediate stiffeners. The connection of the intermediate stiffeners to the perforated bottom plate is changed to eliminate the shop weld in the bottom plate. The holes in the perforated bottom plate are moved away from the boundaries of the tray to reduce their influence on boundary conditions. Trays are held down by plate material that is attached to the support grid, but not to the trays. Three field welds are applied to the sides of each tray to hold the trays in place relative to each other and are strategically placed to allow adjacent side stiffeners to act together as a composite section. Elastomeric material is used at the tray-to-grid attachments increases the damping of the system.

Wet scrubber tray

An improved wet scrubber tray provides increased resistance to vibration-induced cracking. The tray is self supporting to eliminate wastage of raw material, and additional internal stiffeners added to the tray make multiple intermediate stiffeners. The connection of the intermediate stiffeners to the perforated bottom plate is changed to eliminate the shop weld in the bottom plate. The holes in the perforated bottom plate are repositioned so that they are moved away from the boundaries of the tray to reduce their influence on boundary conditions. The thickness of the tray material may be increased to lower the vibratory stresses. The mechanism for holding the trays themselves within the spray absorber tower is changed so that the trays are now held down by plate material that is attached to the support grid, but not to the trays. Three field welds are applied to the sides of each tray to hold the trays in place relative to each other and are strategically placed to allow adjacent side stiffeners to act together as a composite section, thus increasing their strength. Elastomeric material such as neoprene is used at the tray-to-grid attachments to increase the damping of the system. Formed features in the trays such as single or multiple ribs, bosses, domes or dimples may also be provided to increase tray stiffness or influence wet scrubber performance.

A self supporting header has a horizontally extending header pipe of fiberglass reinforced plastic with a horizontal axis and a flange of fiberglass reinforced plastic connected to an outer surface of the header pipe by at least one web and extending along at least part of the horizontal extent of the header pipe. The at least one web extends vertically from at least one of the top and bottom of the header pipe and is connected to the flange. A reinforcing member or material is embedded in at least one of the flange and the at least one web and that has a greater modulus of elasticity than a modulus of elasticity of the fiberglass reinforced plastic of the header pipe reinforces a cross-section of the header for increasing the self supporting strength of the header. The reinforcing member may be made of metal or a carbon composite material.
