A detergent composition for use with a cleaning pad comprising an effective amount of a superabsorbent material, said pad preferably being part of a cleaning implement comprising a handle and said cleaning pad preferably being removable. The detergent composition contains a limited amount of a detergent surfactant, preferably linear in structure and relatively hydrophilic, the level of hydrophobic materials being kept below about 0.5%, and the pH being maintained above about 9, to allow the superabsorbent material to be readily absorbed by the superabsorbent material. The process of using the detergent composition with such a cleaning pad, and the provision of a kit containing both detergent composition and cleaning pad are disclosed.

The present invention relates to a glass cleaning composition comprising: from about 0.001% to about 3% of a blooming perfume composition comprising at least about 50% of blooming perfume ingredients selected from the group consisting of: ingredients having a boiling point of less than about 260&deg; C. and a ClogP of at least about 3, and wherein said perfume composition comprises at least 5 different blooming perfume ingredients; from about 0.001% to about 2% of detergent surfactant system selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, amphoteric detergent surfactants including zwitterionic surfactants; and mixtures thereof; from about 0.5% to about 30% of hydrophobic solvent; and the balance being an aqueous solvent system comprising water and, optionally, non-aqueous polar solvent with only minimal cleaning action selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, ethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, glycol ethers having a hydrogen bonding parameter of greater than 7.7, and mixtures thereof and any minor ingredients. These compositions have good filming/streaking characteristics and provide a blooming perfume effect.

Liquid hard surface detergent compositions containing amphoteric

Aqueous, liquid hard surface detergent compositions having good filming/streaking characteristics contain short chain amphocarboxylate detergent surfactant; hydrophobic, volatile cleaning solvent; and, optionally, zwitterionic detergent surfactant and/or monoethanolamine and/or other specific beta-aminoalkanols for improved filming/streaking and good cleaning. Detergent compositions having good filming/streaking characteristics contain effective amounts of specific substantive materials to increase the hydrophilicity of the glass. Preferred formulas contain a amphoteric, including zwitterionic, and optionally, but preferably, anionic detergent surfactant at levels (e.g., from about 0.02 to about 15%); hydrophobic solvent; alkaline material, especially volatile alkaline materials comprising monoethanolamine or certain beta-amino-alkanol compounds; and salt of polycarboxylate, preferably polyacrylate, polymer at effective levels (e.g., from about 0.01% to about 10%, by weight of the composition).

Aqueous, liquid hard surface detergent compositions having improved cleaning and good filming/streaking characteristics contain specific polycarboxylate detergent builders at critical levels. Preferred formulas contain a zwitterionic/anionic detergent surfactant mixture at levels (e.g., from about 0.02 to about 15%); hydrophobic solvent; alkaline material, especially volatile alkaline materials comprising monoethanolamine or certain beta-amino-alkanol compounds; and salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid as the detergent builder in levels (e.g., from about 0.05% to about 0.5%, by weight of the composition).

The present invention relates to an aqueous, liquid, hard surface cleaning compositions containing amphoteric/zwitterionic detergent surfactant, specific anionic surfactant, cleaning solvent, optional nonionic detergent surfactant, and buffer. The buffers can be either alkaline or acid for improved cleaning of acid sensitive soils like soap scum and/or hard water deposits. The presence of the specific anionic surfactant permits the inclusion of more of relatively hydrophobic materials like cleaning solvents, which provide improved cleaning, especially under acid conditions where some greasy/oily soils are more difficult to remove.
