An example method comprises receiving an initial topology of an electrical, receiving a selection of a region of interest, determining one or more external equivalents of the electrical network that are external to the region of interest, determining one or more internal equivalents of the region of interest, calculating a sensitivity matrix based on electrical impedances of at least one of the one or more internal equivalents and based on an amount of power exchanged when in operation, determining a subset of the sensitivity matrix as indicating highly sensitive buses, receiving historical data regarding power flows, predicting power flow for each highly sensitive buses, comparing the predicted power flow to at least one predetermined threshold to determine possible network congestion, and generating a report regarding network congestion and locations of possible network congestion in the region of interest based on the comparison.

A personal mobile system for detecting unsafe electrical power levels. Magnetic sensors detect a magnitude of a magnetic field produced by a power line. A GPS determines the location of the detected the magnetic field. A distance from the location of the detected the magnetic field is determined. In response to determining that the magnitude of the detected magnetic field produced by the power line exceeds the stored electrical power level threshold, based on the determined distance, an alert module produces an alert on the personal mobile system.

A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and system for determining electrical power levels using one or more sensors on a computing device including: determining threshold levels and alert criteria, receiving electrical power level data from one or more sensors of a computing device, determining if the electrical power level data exceeds the alert criteria, and sending an alert to the appropriate parties if the electrical power level data exceeds the alert criteria.

For data integration using APIs, a request for data is analyzed to determine a set of functional characteristics and a set of non-functional characteristics expected in the data. A first API entry is selected in a registry of API entries, the first API entry corresponding to a first API of the first data source. The charging process data may be stored in a data repository and associated with a user to form historical user data. The process then generates a notification in response to detecting a condition for triggering the generation of the notification. The notification comprises a set of recommendations for achieving a set of optimization objectives. In addition, the set of recommendations are derived from at least one of the historical user data and a remote data source. Thereafter, the process presents the notification to a user using a set of notification preferences.

Energy transaction notification service for presenting charging information of an electric vehicle

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a computer manages an electric vehicle charging transaction. A set of principals is identified associated with the charging transaction for an electric vehicle. A principal is an entity having an interest in the charging transaction. Electric vehicle charging information is retrieved from a set of sources. An energy transaction plan is generated during a pre-charge phase using the electric vehicle charging information and based on preferences of one or more principals to govern the charging transaction. The computer initiates a charging phase of the electric vehicle charging transaction for an electric vehicle connected to a charging station according to the energy transaction plan. The charging phase comprises charging the electric vehicle with electricity, storing electricity in the electric vehicle, and removing electricity to de-charge the electric vehicle. The computer settles the financial obligations among principals according to the energy transaction plan.

Electric vehicle charging transaction interface for managing electric vehicle charging transactions

A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer program product for managing post-charge information distribution for an electric vehicle. In one embodiment, a user profile is updated with charging process data that is derived, in part, from a charging process between the electric vehicle and a charging station. The process then identifies a set of recipients of data from the user profile. The set of recipients include a set of third party principals. The data from the user profile is processed using a set of data processing rules specified by the set of recipients to form processed data. Thereafter, the processed data is transmitted to the set of recipients according to preferences of the set of recipients.

Smart electric vehicle interface for managing post-charge information exchange and analysis

Illustrative embodiments manage an electric vehicle charging transaction. A set of principals associated with the electric vehicle charging transaction is identified. Electric vehicle charging information is retrieved from a set of sources. An energy transaction plan is generated using the electric vehicle charging information. A charging phase of the electric vehicle charging transaction is initiated for an electric vehicle connected to a charging station in accordance with the energy transaction plan. The charging phase comprises at least one of charging the electric vehicle with electricity, storing electricity in an electric storage mechanism associated with the electric vehicle, and removing electricity from the electric storage mechanism to de-charge the electric vehicle. In response to completion of the charging phase, the process then settles the financial obligations of a subset of principals in accordance with the energy transaction plan.
