Systems for and methods for overlapping downlink transmissions

In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for signaling and decoding of punctured sub-bands in a trigger-based PPDU. In one aspect, at least one of the communication interface or the processing circuitry of a wireless communication device is configured to generate a trigger frame that includes signaling indicating that at least one other wireless communication device is allowed to reduce a bandwidth of an allocated resource unit (RU) for transmitting data via a communication channel; transmit, via the communication channel, the trigger frame to at least one other wireless communication device; receive, via the communication channel and from the at least one other wireless communication device, an uplink (UL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) frame including the data; and process the UL OFDMA frame including the data based on the signaling.

Signaling and decoding of punctured subbands in trigger-based PPDU

Disclosed herein are related to systems and methods for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication. In one aspect, during a first time period, a master access point transmits, to a slave access point, information for a joint transmission by the master access point and the slave access point. In one aspect, the slave access point estimates synchronization information for the joint transmission, according to the information for the joint transmission. In one aspect, during a second time period after the first time period, the master access point transmits a portion of a null data packet to a station device. In one aspect, during the second time period, the slave access point transmits the portion of the null data packet to the station device, based on the synchronization information for the joint transmission. In one aspect, the station device determines steering information for the MIMO communication, according to the null data packet.

Frame formats for distributed MIMO

An electronic device is provided that includes a wireless network interface and at least one processor coupled to the wireless network interface. The at least one processor is configured to select a resource unit from a tone plan, notify another electronic device of the selected resource unit via the wireless network interface, and communicate data with the other electronic device using the selected resource unit via the wireless network interface. The tone plan is characterized by a first tone sub-plan comprising a first plurality of resource units having a first size, wherein each resource unit of the first plurality of resource units includes a respective plurality of tones from a contiguous range of tones, and wherein the tones of each respective plurality of tones have a spacing in the contiguous range of tones of an integer multiple of a first factor greater than one.

Distributed tone plan

Systems, methods, and devices for conducting wireless communication are provided. One method includes identifying a location of a device and obtaining spectrum usage data from a database. The spectrum usage data indicates a licensed entity licensed within an area including the location of the device to communicate across a first sub-band of frequencies within a frequency band, and one or more transmission characteristics of the transmissions of the licensed entity. The method further includes determining beam steering characteristics for wireless transmissions of the device within the frequency band using the spectrum usage data. The beam steering characteristics are determined using the transmission characteristics for the licensed entity and configured to reduce interference with the transmissions of the licensed entity within the frequency band caused by the wireless transmissions of the device. The method further includes conducting wireless transmissions over the frequency band using the beam steering characteristics.

Methods and systems for coexistence with licensed entities using beam steering

A wireless communication device (alternatively, device, WDEV, etc.) includes at least one processing circuitry configured to support communications with other WDEV(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. In one example, the circuitry is configured to generate a null data packet (NDP), transmit at least a portion of the NDP to another wireless communication device via fewer than all of a plurality of sub-channels of a communication channel, and receive feedback from the another wireless communication device that is based on the another wireless communication processing the at least the portion of the NDP that is received via the fewer than all of the plurality of sub-channels of the communication channel. In one example, the generated NDP includes at least one signal field (SIG) field therein that includes information to specify a preamble puncturing option or the information is transmitted in a previous packet.

Punctured null data packet (NDP) within wireless communications

Multiple channels are aggregated. In an example embodiment, first data is transmitted on a first channel to a wireless device, and second data is simultaneously transmitted on a second channel to the wireless device. The first data and the second data are transmitted in a coordinated manner by aggregating the first channel and the second channel. Various example channel characteristics and combinations thereof are described. Different data allocation options for aggregated channels are described. Other alternative implementations are also presented herein.

Multi-band channel aggregation

A wireless communication device includes a communication interface and processing circuitry coupled to the communication interface. At least one of the communication interface or the processing circuitry can generate an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) frame that includes a preamble that specifies allocation of at least one resource unit (RU) for a communication channel or nonallocation of the at least one RU for the communication channel. The preamble includes at least one long training field (LTF) to be used by a receiver for channel estimation. The LTF includes an extremely high-throughput (EHT)-LTF sequence.

Methods and apparatus are described for mitigating intercell interference in wireless communication systems utilizing substantially the same operating frequency band across multiple neighboring coverage areas. The operating frequency band may be shared across multiple neighboring or otherwise adjacent cells, such as in a frequency reuse one configuration. The wireless communication system can synchronize one or more resource allocation regions or zones across the multiple base stations, and can coordinate a permutation type within each resource allocation zone. The base stations can coordinate a pilot configuration in each of a plurality of coordinated resource allocation regions. Subscriber stations can be assigned resources in a coordinated resource allocation region based on interference levels. A subscriber station can determine a channel estimate for each of multiple base stations in the coordinated resource allocation region to mitigate interference.

Intercell interference mitigation

Frame formatting for communications within single user, multiple user, multiple access, and/or MIMO wireless communications. A signal is processed within a communication device using at least two respective downclocking ratios (e.g., a first downclocking ratio applied to a first portion of the signal such as a frame or packet extracted there from, a second downclocking ratio applied to a second portion of the signal). Alternatively, a signal is divided into more than two respective portions, and different respective downclocking ratios are applied to those different respective portions (e.g., a first downclocking ratio applied to a first portion of the signal, and so on up to an n-th downclocking ratio applied to an n-th portion of the signal). Some implementations apply a singular or common downclocking ratio to more than one portion of the signal (which may be contiguous/adjacent or non-contiguous/non-adjacent within the signal).
