A bow spring assembly having bow spring members is installed around the outer surface of the casing section and can rotate about the outer surface of the casing section. At least one portion of the casing section is swaged to increase the outer diameter of that section. Bow spring heel supports prevent bow spring members from contacting the outer surface of the central casing section when compressed. Non-abrasive materials prevent damage to wellhead or other polished bore receptacles.

A connection assembly for automated lifting and positioning of a chiksan or other fluid conduit in proximity to a fluid inlet of a device such as, for example, a cement or hydraulic fracturing head. An inner mandrel member has a central bore and a flange member extending around the outer circumference of the mandrel. A friction reducing ring member is located on an upper surface of the flange member, while layered friction reducing sleeve members are positioned around the outer surface of the mandrel member. An anchor sleeve member is concentrically and rotatably positioned around the outer surface of the outermost friction reducing sleeve member. Connection flanges, each having at least one bore for attachment to a shackle or other connecting device, extend laterally from the outer periphery of the anchor sleeve member and allow for anchoring of the assembly (and any attached casing or other pipe) to a rig or other structural support member.

An apparatus for retaining and securing elevated objects such as cement valves. A harness member is wrapped around the outer surface of an elevated object, and adjustable straps are tightened to secure the harness member in place. An elongate sling member, attached the harness member, is securely attached to a cement head assembly or other nearby support structure. The apparatus provides positive retention should an elevated object become detached, thereby preventing the object from falling and injuring personnel or damaging property.

For use with a top drive power unit supported for connection with a well string in a well bore to selectively impart longitudinal and/or rotational movement to the well string, a feeder for supplying a pumpable substance such as cement and the like from an external supply source to the interior of the well string in the well bore without first discharging it through the top drive power unit including a body having flow passages for communicating the pumpable substance from an external source to discharge through the sub and into the interior of the well string below the top drive power unit, and a brace which reduces and/or eliminates the transfer of forces from the chicksan line to the valve and inlet of the side entry sub.
