The present invention relates to a femoral prosthesis that includes a cement introduction port which may be used to facilitate delivery or introduction of bone cement into the prosthesis/bone interface after the prosthesis component has been placed on a resurfaced femur bone. The femoral prosthesis may have a keel with undercuts which are configured to assist in controlling the flow of bone cement during implantation and to improve stability of the prosthesis following implantation. The femoral prosthesis is suitable for implantation using arthroscopic, as well as open, surgical procedures. The present prostheses may be used as unicondylar implants in either compartment of the knee or in both compartments of the knee.

Femoral prosthesis

The present invention relates to a tibial prosthesis useful in knee replacement surgeries. The prosthesis includes one or more cement introduction ports which may be used to deliver and control delivery of bone cement to a prosthesis-bone interface after the prosthesis has been positioned on a resurfaced area of a tibia bone. The prosthesis is suitable for implantation using arthroscopic as well as open surgical procedures. The prosthesis may be used as a unicondylar implant in either compartment of the knee or in both compartments of the knee.

Tibial prosthesis

The present invention relates to a knee joint prosthesis including femoral and tibial components. The bodies of the components possess a network of channels which may be used to deliver bone cement to the component bone interface after the components are implanted. The body of the femoral component possesses a network of channels which is in communication with a bore on the distal surface of the component which may be used to deliver bone cement into the network of channels after the component is implanted. The body of the tibial component possesses a network of channels which is in communication with a bore on the proximal surface of the component which may be used to deliver bone cement into the network of channels after the component is implanted. The components are suitable for implantation using arthroscopic as well as open surgical procedures. The components may be used as unicondylar implants in either compartment of the knee or in both compartments of the knee.

Knee joint prosthesis

A surgical method and implant for directing and securing a replacement ligament into the femur or tibia of the knee. A transverse tunnel may be formed in the femur approximately perpendicular to a femoral tunnel. A flexible strand passing through the transverse tunnel may be used to draw the replacement ligament into the femoral tunnel. The implant may then be placed into the transverse tunnel and through the replacement ligament to secure the replacement ligament in place. The implant may include an eyelet to receive the flexible strand and a tapered portion forming a shoulder to prevent the implant from being inserted too far into the transverse tunnel. The implant may also have a multi-angular configured portion to secure the implant within the transverse tunnel through an interference fit.

Method and implant for securing ligament replacement into the knee

A combined refrigerator-oven () includes an enclosed chamber () having a top wall (), a bottom wall (), and vertical side walls (). ACL fixation pin

A system for endosteal tibial ligament fixation with adjustable tensioning is disclosed. A grasping hook located on a shaft is used to draw a ligament graft into a contoured drill hole formed in a bone. A series of slanted ridges on the shaft can pass in only one direction through a securing push nut residing in the contoured drill hole, resulting in an interference fit that secures the attachment system, while allowing the tension of the ligament graft to be adjusted.

ACL fixation pin and method

A meniscus repair anchor. The anchor includes an anchor body and a retaining head intercoupled by a flexible member. The anchor is lodged within a hollow needle. The needle is advanced into the meniscus and across the tear in an inner-to-outer direction, thereby preventing contact between the anchor body and meniscal tissue during deployment. Once the needle tip has penetrated the outer edge of the meniscus and protrudes therefrom, a stylus is used to deploy the flexibly tethered retaining head against the outer edge. The hollow needle is then retracted, causing the barbs along the anchor body to deploy internally within the meniscus. Excess length of the anchor body is cut off at the inner edge entry point of the meniscus.

Meniscus repair anchor system

An ACL bone tunnel projection drill guide and method for its use that includes a body configured to by held by a surgeon that includes a straight wire guide tube secured to extend, at approximately a right angle outwardly, from a lower end thereof and contains an arcuate slot formed therein to receive a radial arm fitted to slide in and out therefrom. A drill tube mount is secured across an end of the radial arm that includes a longitudinal passage wherethrough a barrel is fitted to be installed into a tibial tunnel section formed in a patient's proximal tibial in an anterior cruciate ligament replacement procedure. The wire guide tube contains a connecting wire that connects, on a distal end to a straight articulating tip pivotally connected to the wire guide tube distal end, and is fitted over at least one roller to extend to pivot the articulating tip when the radial arm travels out of the body arcuate slot. Which wire guide tube also includes a projecting wire fitted into the articulating tip to extend therefrom when an actuator slide fitted in a slot in the body, whereto the projecting wire proximal end is attached, is moved. The length of projecting wire extension is determined by a comparison of an indicator on the actuator slide with marking on a scale scribe alongside of the slot. With the articulating tip proximal end maintained at the tibial tunnel section end, the determination of the length of projecting wire extension along with the length of that articulating tip determines the distance between the tibial tunnel section end and a point along the femur intercondylar notch contacted by the projecting wire end, which distance is used by a surgeon to select and appropriate length of a replacement ligament graft.
