The control system comprises an amplifier () designed to receive an input control signal (cmd*;*), in order to amplify the input control signal (cmd*;*) so as to obtain an output control signal (CMD*;*) and to apply the output control signal (CMD*;*) to the switch () in order to either open or close the switch (), the amplifier () having two, positive and negative, supply terminals intended to receive a supply voltage. It moreover comprises an inhibiting device () for the amplifier () designed to lower the supply voltage on receiving what is referred to as a total inhibit control (INHIB_T) so that the output control signal (CMD*;*) keeps the switch () open irrespective of the input control signal (cmd*;*).

System for controlling a switch and switching arm

A control system has a microcontroller () that receives a mode request (MR), a command-generating device () to supply commands and to transfer the mode request (MS) to an output pin of the microcontroller (), and a device for detecting accidental starting (), as well as a pilot () that supplies an output command signal to the switch (). The pilot () is connected to the output pin to receive the transmitted mode request (MS). The output pin is connected to an input pin of the microcontroller () to receive the transmitted mode request (MS), and the accidental starting detection device () detects when the transmitted mode request (MS) received on the input pin indicates a motor mode even though the mode request (MR) received by the microcontroller () indicates an alternator mode and, when this is the case, sends an inhibition command (INHIB_P; INHIB_T) to the pilot ().

System for controlling a switch, switching arm and electrical installation

The excitation circuit according to the invention controls an excitation current (lexc) in an excitation winding () of an alternator by means of an on-board network voltage control loop (Vbat+,) of the vehicle, and comprises a first MOS power transistor () which is connected between a first positive supply terminal Vbat+ (), and a first excitation terminal (), and is controlled by the control loop by means of a first control circuit (), a second MOS power transistor (), which is connected between the first excitation terminal and a second excitation terminal () which is connected to a ground terminal () and acts as a free wheel diode, whilst being controlled by means of a second control circuit (). According to the invention, the circuit additionally comprises a control loop () of a drain-source voltage (Vds) of the second transistor.
