A tap changer for uninterrupted switching between winding taps of a tapped transformer has first and second load branches for each phase to be switched. Each load branch has a main vacuum switch and in parallel thereto a series connection of a switch-over resistance and a respective auxiliary vacuum switch. First and second vacuum switching tubes each contain the main vacuum switch of the respective first and second load branches and the auxiliary vacuum switch of the other of the load branches.

Tap changer and vacuum interrupter for a tap changer of this kind

The invention relates to a tap changer having vacuum interrupters for switching over between winding taps of a tapped transformer without interruption. The tap changer according to the invention having vacuum interrupters is based on the general idea of combining the functionalities of at least one conventional vacuum switching contact which switches under load and a further mechanical switching means according to the prior art in just one single vacuum interrupter with two separately moving contact systems.

A vacuum switch tube has a housing which has two insulating housing regions arranged and configured symmetrically in respect of a center plane. Each of the two insulating housings contains a plurality of insulating housing parts. Shielding elements extend into the interior of the vacuum switch tube and are arranged between neighboring insulating housing parts and between insulating housing parts and neighboring additional housing parts. The shielding elements have improved dielectric properties and a simultaneously material-saving structure. Accordingly, the geometrical dimensions of the shielding elements are determined in dependence on a connected voltage and possible critical field strength between neighboring shields.

The invention relates to a tap changer for the interruption-free switchover between winding taps of a tap-changing transformer. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a novel vacuum interrupter which is particularly suitable for such a tap changer. The tap changer according to the invention is based on the general concept of combining in each case one main contact (V1) and one mechanical switching means (U1), connected in series therewith, of a first load branch and an additional resistive contact (V3) of a second load branch in only a single vacuum interrupter () with a common housing (). The vacuum interrupter () according to the invention is furthermore based on the general inventive concept of replacing the functionalities of two required vacuum interrupters in accordance with the prior art and an additional mechanical switching means with a single vacuum interrupter () according to the invention by virtue of combining the design of a vacuum interrupter () with a plurality of moveable contact systems (I, II, III), which are arranged in separate vacuum interrupter chambers () which are sealed with respect to one another.

A vacuum interrupter includes a housing having two insulating material areas disposed and constructed symmetrically with respect to a center plane. Each of the two insulating material housing areas includes a plurality of insulating material housing parts. The interrupter has a compact construction and high dielectric strength. The insulating material housing part of each insulating material housing area located farthest away from the center plane has a length that is greater than the length of the other insulating material housing parts.

The aim of the invention is to improve the breaking ability of vacuum interrupter in the medium- and high-voltage range. Said aim is achieved whereby the contact pieces which may be displaced relative to each other are moved with a relatively high speed during a first phase (S) of the separation process until about &#xbc; to &#xbd; of the ultimate separation (extinction stroke Eh) and are brought to the given ultimate separation (isolating stroke Eh) during a second phase (S) with relatively low speed.

The aim of the invention is to prevent local spikes from being created in a contact element of a contact arrangement used for interrupting a current in a distribution network, said contact element comprising a contact support () that encompasses a hollow cylindrical wall section () and a bottom wall (), and a contact disk () which is located opposite the bottom wall () in a longitudinal direction while slots () are provided for generating a magnetic field. Said aim is achieved by providing the slots () with rounded edges () having a defined radius.

The invention relates to a contact arrangement for a vacuum switch tube for low-voltage power switches. The aim of the invention is to reduce the contact force required to control short circuit currents. To this end, a twin-contact contact arrangement is used wherein every contact comprises a plurality of separate individual contacts having a defined spring rate. At least one of the contact bodies () is configured as a two-layer spiral contact with a lower layer consisting of a highly elastic material and an upper layer () consisting of a highly electroconductive material. A contact coat () consisting of a contact material is provided on the upper layer in the outer zone of every contact arm ().

Contact arrangement for a vacuum switch tube

The aim of the invention is to optimize, in vacuum interrupters, the connection area () between housing parts (), which are coaxially assigned to one another, with regard to the complexity of production for centering measures and with regard to the execution of the soldering process. To this end, a ring-like discoidal centering means () is used, which is made of a silver-coated copper and which comprises centering lugs () located on a tubular flange () that is arranged on the inner periphery of the centering means. Said centering lugs extend in an axial direction of the coaxial assignment and are provided in the form of tabs that point toward the ring-like discoidal area () of the centering means. The centering means is thereby overlapped by a tubular copper part, which is joined to the centering means and which serves as a shielding () inside the vacuum interrupter.

On both sides of a metal switching chamber, the novel vacuum switch tubes are respectively provided with two ceramic insulators which have the same diameter. Axially interspaced cylindrical vapor shields are fixed to the wing parts of said components. The easy to produce low-volume structure means that is possible to control operating voltages of more than 60 kV.

A new vacuum switching chamber is intended for power breakers in the low-voltage range and is distinguished by a compact form with a small physical height and a high switching capacity. Its enclosure includes a plate-like power current connection, a cylindrical wall part which surrounds flat spiral contacts, an annular insulator and a membrane disk with a centrally arranged power current supply bolt.

This invention relates to a novel vacuum interrupter. The aim of the invention is for said is for said interrupter to perform the functions switching, disconnection and earthing and to be economically producible. Said aim is achieved by means of a first contact system produced with radial- or axial-magnetic filed contacts, the movable contact of which is connected to the movable contact of a second contact system, comprising annular discs. The stationary contact of the second contact system forms an annular part of the housing to which two tubular insulators are connected. One of the insulators encloses both contact systems and is protected by a screen fixed to the movable contact piece, which separates the plasma physics of the both contact systems.

The current terminal bolt of the movable spiral petal contact is seated on the associated plate-type current terminal.
