Methods and apparatus for a voltage driven Hall plate current sensor integrated circuit (IC) package that includes a die including a Hall plate with a lateral epi resistor. A gm amplifier receives an output voltage from the Hall plate and a front end amplifier receives an output of the gm amplifier. A compensation circuit compensates for stress on the die that affects a resistance of the Hall plate and includes a lateral epi resistor coupled to a constant current for compensating for piezoresistive stress in the Hall plate.

A current sensor comprising: a substrate; a conductor that is disposed on or adjacent to the substrate; one or more sensing elements that are formed on the substrate, the one or more sensing elements being configured to generate one or more first signals in response to a magnetic field that is associated with the conductor; and electronic circuitry that is formed on the substrate, the electronic circuitry being configured to generate a second signal based on the one or more first signals, the second signal being indicative of a level of electrical current through the conductor, wherein the electronic circuitry includes a first instance of a component, a second instance of the component, and mixing circuitry that is configured to mix an output of the first instance with an output of the second instance to produce a mixed signal.

Sensor architecture for correcting thermally-induced linearity error

A filter circuit includes a filter having an input and an output at which an output of the filter is provided, a step detector coupled to receive an input signal at the input of the filter and configured to detect a predetermined step in the input signal and to assert a bypass signal in response to detection of the predetermined step. A logic circuit is responsive to the bypass signal and configured to cause the input signal to be coupled to the output of the filter without filtering when the bypass signal is asserted.
