There is provided a neurostimulator and method for delivering to a subject a stimulation in response to a predicted or detected condition. The neurostimulator including: a power circuit for providing electrical power to the neurostimulator; a recording array having a plurality of electrodes for recording a plurality of neurophysiological signals corresponding to a plurality of sites of the subject; a signal processor configured to: determine a phase synchrony among the neurophysiological signals; and associate selected phase synchrony calculations with the prediction or detection of a neurological or neurophysiological condition; and one or more stimulators for delivering to the subject a stimulation in response to the predicted or detected condition.

There is provided a method and system for extending image sensor dynamic range using coded pixels. The method including: providing pixel codes to pixels in the photodetector array for each subframe of a frame; receiving a sensor readout of each of the pixels in the photodetector array for each subframe; for each subframe, based on the pixel code, routing each sensor readout value for collection at one or more taps or to a drain; combining the collected sensor readout values at each of the taps to determine a single pixel value for the frame; and outputting the single pixel value for each pixel for the frame.

In one aspect, an electronic device for continuous and simultaneous powering and data transfer is provided, the electronic device comprising: an inductive power receiver operable to generate a power signal from a sensed magnetic field, the power signal; an LC tank and diode pair electrically coupled to the power receiver and operable to obtain the power signal, the LC tank and diode pair cooperating to generate a corresponding clipped signal thereof; and an antenna comprising a high-pass filter, the antenna electrically coupled to the diode pair and operable to emit a pulse-train by high-pass filtering the clipped signal.

There is provided a method and system for pixel-wise imaging of a scene. The method including: receiving a pixel-wise pattern, the pixel-wise pattern including a masking value for each pixel in an array of pixels of an image sensor; producing an electronic signal at each pixel when such pixel is exposed to light received from the scene; and directing the electronic signal at each pixel to one or more collection nodes associated with such pixel based on the respective masking value, the one or more collection nodes each capable of integrating the received electronic signal.

There is provided a system, system architecture, and method for neural cross-frequency coupling analysis. In an embodiment, the method includes: receiving neural signals; extracting a phase frequency signal and an amplitude frequency envelope signal from each of the neural signals; determining a first measure of cross-frequency coupling comprising a mean vector length modulation index (MVL-MI), determining the MVL-MI comprises determining a magnitude of an averaged complex-valued time series from a plurality of samples of the neural signals to extract a phase-amplitude coupling measure, each sample associated with a respective one of the amplitude frequency envelope signals and the phase frequency signals; and outputting at least one measure of the cross-frequency coupling.

There is provided a system and method for classifying time series data for state identification. The method including: training a machine learning model to classify occurrences of the state; receiving a new time series data stream; determining whether a current sample in the new time series data stream is an occurrence of the state by determining a classified feature vector, the classified feature vector determined by passing the current sample and samples in at least one continuous sampling window into the trained machine learning model, each continuous sampling window including a plurality of preceding samples from the time series data, an epoch for each respective continuous sampling window determined according to a respective exponential decay rate; and outputting the determination of whether the current sample is an occurrence of the state.
