A process for the manufacture of a heat strengthened glass substrate, includes the application of a temporary layer including a polymer on a glass substrate including a glass sheet, then the application to the glass substrate coated with the temporary layer of a treatment for the heat strengthening of the glass including heating, leading to the removal of the temporary layer, and then cooling by blowing of air through nozzles. The glass substrate thus obtained exhibits a reduced level of iridescences.

An insulating glazing includes two glass sheets that are spaced apart by an air- or gas-filled cavity, a spacer arranged at periphery of the glass sheets and that keeps the glass sheets spaced apart, the spacer being transparent and placed on one of the sides of the glazing, and a first barrier that is leaktight to water, formed by a structural seal, the material of which is watertight, and a second barrier that is leaktight to gases and to water vapor, the first and second barriers associated to the transparent spacer being made of transparent material, wherein the second barrier that is leaktight to gases and to water vapor and made of transparent material is arranged at an interface between the glass sheets and the transparent spacer on an internal side of the glazing, the structural seal also at the interface being positioned abutted and aligned with the second barrier.

An insulating glazing includes two glass sheets spaced apart by at least one air- or gas-filled cavity, at least one transparent spacer made of glass, which is arranged at a periphery of the glass sheets and which keeps the two glass sheets spaced apart, and a transparent fastening system to fasten by adhesive bonding, which fastens the spacer to each glass sheet via two opposite fastening faces of the spacer, wherein the spacer made of glass is obtained by the cutting of glass sheet in a raw state, and is joined to the glass sheets directly in the raw state, and wherein the fastening system to fasten by adhesive bonding consist of a transparent material having been placed at an external junction of the spacer and of the glass sheets and having flowed into asperities of the glass of the fastening faces of the spacer.

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of bent glazed modules comprising a metal framework and a panel comprising a laminated glazing comprising glass substrates separated by an interlayer made of polymer material, the panel being bent, after the laminated glazing has been assembled, by a force which causes it to take the shape of the metal framework and then held in this shape by a holding means, the bending being carried out while the interlayer is at a temperature between 30 and 80&#xb0; C. The invention reduces the loads necessary for the bending and also the shear stresses between the interlayer made of polymer material and the glass substrates, which reduces the risks of delamination.

Cold bending of a laminated glazing

The invention relates to a glazed module comprising a metal framework and an insulating glazing comprising a water-tight barrier, said insulating glazing being cold-bent, the metal framework and the insulating glazing being rendered integral by a holding means which forces the insulating glazing to retain the bent shape conferred on it by the framework. Cold-bent insulating glazing

A process for manufacturing a laminated glazing unit so that it withstands a predetermined load, in which the unit includes at least one substrate having a glass function and at least one layer of polymeric interlayer. The process: obtains viscoelastic behavior of constituent material of the interlayer; calculates maximum value of at least one quantity representative of the loading resistance of the laminated glazing unit subjected to the predetermined load; adjusts dimensions of the unit such that the calculated maximum value of the quantity representative of the loading resistance of the unit is less than or equal to a permissible maximum value; and the or each substrate and the or each layer of interlayer are prepared and assembled to the adjusted dimensions.

Process for manufacturing a laminated glazing unit

A process for manufacturing a laminated glazing, in which a lamination interlayer is interposed between two substrates having a glass function, including: making a measurement of Young's modulus E on a sample of the interlayer, using a viscoanalyzer, by varying temperature and frequency while imposing a constant dynamic displacement; making a numerical treatment of curves obtained, using WLF (Williams-Landel-Ferry) equations, to establish a law E(f) governing behavior of a material constituting the interlayer sample at a given temperature; producing a numerical model based on a finite-element method in bending of a laminated glazing panel, wherein mechanical properties of the sample result from the preceding operations; comparing results of the numerical calculation with those obtained with analytical formulae in which participation of the interlayer in transferring shear in the laminated glazing is represented by a transfer coefficient &#x3c9;; varying the transfer coefficient &#x3c9; in the analytical formulae until results converge; and constructing a transfer function &#x3c9;=f(E) by successive iterations.
