A manipulator arm for being connected to a manipulator chassis frame disposed in particular in the periphery of a metallurgical smelting furnace includes a proximal end for being connected to the manipulator chassis frame and a distal end equipped with a first tool receptacle and serving to be connected to a shovel or bucket. The manipulator arm has a second tool receptacle at its distal end, the second tool receptacle being formed irrespective of the first tool receptacle and being intended to be connected to a hammer mill or a drilling machine.

A drill bit () for the drilling, in particular the rotary percussive drilling, of a hole, in particular a tap hole of a melting furnace, the drill bit () comprising a drill head (), which has at least one hard material insert (), and a base body () for connecting the drill bit to a driving element, the hard material insert () being inserted into a seat, which is formed in an axial end face () of the drill head (), in such a manner that at least a head cutting edge () of the hard material insert () protrudes beyond the axial end face (), wherein the seat has a flank portion and a mating flank portion located opposite the flank portion, between which the hard material insert () is disposed, the flank portion, which is disposed opposite a recess formed in the hard material insert (), being provided with a material projection () which is at least partially made of a welding material, is bonded to the drill head () via the welding material and protrudes into the recess so as to establish a form-fitting connection with the hard material insert ().

A method for refurbishing a tap-hole including making a channel trough a tap-hole block, restoring the channel to form a refurbished tap-hole, detachably connecting a prefabricated refractory insert including a shell to a clay gun, where the insert includes a first and second ends in axial direction, where the second end is blocked, an opening arranged on the first end, a hollow passage in the axial direction, where the hollow passage is accessible through the opening, a plurality of lateral through holes, aligned in a longitudinal direction of the shell, with a constant interval covering 10-25% of the shell, the method further including inserting the insert into the channel, where the clay gun is fluidly coupled with the insert and the channel, injecting a grouting material from the clay gun into the insert and through the through hole into the channel and, disconnecting the insert from the clay gun.

Tap-hole refurbishing

A device for supplying a rinsing medium to a tool of a hammer drill and a hammer drill. The device includes at least one of a rotatable and axially displaceable drilling tool holder having at least one supply channel for the rinsing medium, a transfer part interacting with the drilling tool holder, a housing, a feeder structured and shaped essentially in an axially symmetrical manner, and a holding part with a rinsing medium inlet. The feeder and the holding part are arranged as a connected component, and friction bearings are arranged on both sides of the feeder and arranged toward the drilling tool holder. The holding part is structured to be radially displaceable within limits via bending with respect to at least one of the housing and a fixing ring connected to the housing, but positively fixed tangentially.

Device for supplying rinsing medium in a hammer drill

A drill crown () used for drilling purposes, especially for rotary percussion drilling of a mouth of a blast furnace. The drill crown () consists of a drilling head () provided with a plurality of hard material or hard metal inserts () and a base body () for connection to a drive element etc. in order to drive or impinge upon said drill crown. The hard material or hard metal inserts () are received in bores or openings () of the drill head (). According to the invention, at least one hard material or hard metal insert () is provided with an at least partially curved or domed surface contour () on the end which is received in the drill head (). Said contour cooperates with a complementary domed or curved surface of the drill head () and/or base body (), whereby the percussive energy required for appropriate drilling power is transmitted in a reliable manner, even when the hard material or hard metal insert () is slackened.

Drill crown

A pivot device for supporting a working device is disclosed. The pivot device has a load-bearing structure, an arm and a control rod. A first end of the arm is pivotably mounted in the load-bearing structure. The working device is pivotably connected to the second end of the arm. A first end of the control rod is hinged to the pivotable working device. A hinged quadrangle acts as a pivot point for the second end of the control rod. The quadrangle encompasses the load-bearing structure as a chassis, the arm acting as a driven element, as well as two coupling elements which close the quadrangle. The control rod is hinged, by its second end, to one of the two coupling elements. When the arm pivots, the pivot point of the second end of the control rod remains on the same side of the arm, so that the control rod does not cross the arm during pivoting.
