A method for producing a tread for a tire having a plurality of contacting element delimited by a plurality of grooves and a connecting member. The method includes depositing at least one connecting member on a surface of an unvulcanized green tread, introducing the unvulcanized green tread with the connecting member into a mold having at least one molding element having a plurality of rib for forming the groove on the tread, at least two rib side faces and a molding surface, at least one rib having at least one notching portion receiving a guiding member including a guiding slit, moving the connecting member to a predetermined position in the guiding slit through the guiding slit by green tread, molding and vulcanizing the green tread with the connecting member in the mold, and taking a molded and vulcanized tread out from the mold.

Mold () for vulcanizing a tire comprises a lining () for molding the tread of this tire and a mobile valve () intended to vent the mold (). The valve is of a single piece and is guided in a guide part () belonging to the lining and in abutment on each side of this guide part to limit the movement of the valve in the lining. This valve and this guide part are made from the same material. The mobile valve thus produced is of one piece and non-removable from the guide part, and is therefore quicker and more accurate. It is held in the guide part by two abutments and, because it is made from the same material as the guide part, these can be produced at the same time. The mold in general comprises several valves to remove the air trapped during the molding of the tire.

Mould insert comprising a high-contrast texture

A molding element for a tire mold manufactured from a metallic powder fused together layer by layer. The molding element contains a first surface intended to mold all or part of a tread surface of the tire and a second surface opposite to the first surface and intended to be in contact with another part of the mold. The thickness (E) of the molding element is between 1 and 6 millimeters. The molding element overall has a density greater than or equal to 98%. The molding element also contains at least one first porous area extending into the thickness of this molding element, this first porous area having a plurality of pores allowing air to pass between the first surface of the molding element and the second surface thereof.
