The drive assembly is formed by an internal-combustion engine which is installed in a passenger car. By means of bearings, supports or the like, the internal-combustion engine is held in position in an assembly space. By means of a wall of a vehicle body, the assembly space is separated from a vehicle occupant compartment. For achieving favorable psycho-acoustic effects, a sound support is provided between the internal-combustion engine and the wall of the vehicle body, by which sound support the engine-mechanical structure-borne sound is transmitted into the vehicle body, specifically for a targeted perception by occupants in the vehicle occupant compartment.

Drive assembly

A disk brake includes a brake disk which is surrounded by a caliper carrying lining devices. On the side of the lining device facing a brake lining surface, the brake disk has a concave brake disk surface. In order to at least partially reduce the noise emitted occurring during slow-down braking, the concavity of the brake disk surface and the convexity of the brake lining surface are constructed such that a noise-reducing form closure occurs.

Disk brake for vehicles

For avoiding torsional vibrations of the vehicle body, the motor vehicle of the present invention uses a drive assembly as an absorber which is held via three bearings in the vehicle body. The bearings having a characteristic which determines a high natural frequency of the assembly roll mode and is modulated precisely to the vehicle body torsion and has a low vertical bearing stiffness.

Motor vehicle

A mounting of an internal combustion engine which has V-shaped cylinder rows and is installed transversely into the body of a passenger motor vehicle. The internal combustion engine is suspended at two bearing supports and is supported with respect to the body by means of two torque supports.

Mounting of an internal combustion engine

A vehicle drive unit placed in front of the back of the vehicle for a single axle and four wheel drive is provided in which the unit includes a combustion engine and a transmission with wheel axle drive differentials a and central differential or transfer case. A drive shaft is carried in a support and the support is rigidly connected to the second differential. The combustion engine is supported at the vehicle body and at the transmission by numerous elastic bearings which vibrationally isolate the same from one another. The engine is rigidly connected to the support for the drive shaft. A transmission shaft with low torsional rigidity is provided between the combustion engine and the transmission with this transmission shaft connected to the engine and transmission inertia masses to provide a damping effect on torque vibrations.

Vehicle drive unit

A four-wheel drive arrangement for vehicles having a transversely mounted engine includes an angular drive arrangement which incorporates several design features to reduce undesirable movement of the arrangement and resulting noise inside the vehicle. These features include support of the angular drive gear assembly at a point other than where it is fastened to a transmission/differential combination (e.g., by a bracket fastened to the engine), formation of the clutch and differential gear housing as an integral unit, resonance decoupling of a cardan shaft arrangement driven by the angular drive gear, and design of the angular drive gear assembly housing so as to reduce the length of the output shaft and associated bearing support. Specific arrangements for supporting the angular drive gear assembly and sections of the cardan shaft arrangement are also disclosed, as are specific features of the unitary housing which contributes to the overall reduction of inside noise levels.

A suction pipe apparatus for an internal-combustion engine with fuel injection, especially intermittent fuel injection into intake pipes connected to the cylinder head of the engine. The intake pipes are connected to the cylinder head by a flanged, structure-borne-noise-insulating connecting pipe made from an elastomer. A sleeve-shaped portion for receiving a fuel injection valve is also provided at the connecting pipe. The sleeve-like portion encapsulates the valve to reduce noise emissions. The flange of the connecting pipe is provided with a reinforcing member to enhance the integrity and durability of the connection.

Suction pipe apparatus for an internal-combustion engine

The connection of a vehicle subframe with a frame of a motor vehicle is effected by an elastic bearing support. In order that the vibrations from the vehicle subframe are not transmitted to the frame, elements are provided in the region of the support for the bearing frame which increase the impedance. This results in a shielding of the frame from these vibrations.

A drive aggregate for a motor vehicle consisting of an internal combustion engine with a separating clutch and of a transmission unit; the internal combustion engine together with the separating clutch is arranged at the front end and the transmission unit at the rear end of the motor vehicle and both units are connected into an overall unit by interposition of a hollow connecting bearer which is constructed rectangularly shaped in cross section and which is provided at its walls with retaining devices arranged on the outside thereof. Attachment parts, such as, for example, a shifting lever support, an exhaust gas installation and lines are retained in these retaining devices. The walls of the connecting bearer are constructed in such a manner that will result in the bearer having a similar resistance moment in its main axes with approximately the same resonant frequency as the engine and transmission.
