A drive arrangement for an aircraft with a propeller, especially a thrust propeller arranged in the rear fuselage of an aircraft frame which is connected with a drive unit. The drive unit is connected with a longitudinally installed tubular support member supportingly receiving a central shaft. The tubular support member as well as the drive unit are supported on the side of the fuselage by way of at least three elastic bearing supports. One bearing support is provided at the aircraft rear end of the tubular support member and the two other bearing supports are provided within the area of the drive unit.

Drive arrangement for a vehicle having a propeller

A vibration-damped suspension of a drive aggregate in the body structure includes a forward and rear bearing installation; the forward bearing installation supports the transmission by way of two bearing supports whereas the rear bearing installation includes a cross-bearer supported on the side of the body by way of lateral outwardly arranged bearing supports. The cross-bearer is connected with a bracket receiving the engine by interposition of a decoupling device, whereby the bracket is decoupled from torsional stresses of the body so that the drive aggregate stands completely quiet notwithstanding twisting of the body.

An engine-transmission assembly wherein the engine in it is connected to a rear transmission unit by a supporting pipe which serves to reduce vibration and noise. According to preferred embodiments of the invention, the supporting pipe includes at least one outer pipe and an inner pipe fitted therein which are interconnected at only ends and are held in position via a friction seat. The pipes forming the supporting pipe can be of equal length and thickness or can be of varying length and/or thicknesses according to other embodiments.

An independently suspended wheel rear axle suspension for motor vehicles of the torsion spring type is improved by the provision of a bolster that is designed for reducing the suspension space requirements, while providing optimal noise damping and stable wheel guidance. The improved bolster includes, according to a preferred embodiment, a thrust bearing, a rigid longitudinal support that is connected to the vehicle body by the thrust bearing for providing only vibration insulation and guiding, a support bearing, and a resilient spring member connected to the vehicle body by the support bearing for receiving the preponderant torque of the torsion spring and the vehicle weight, while providing vibration insulation. The longitudinal support means is mounted so as to be elastically displaceable under the influence of forces in the vehicle longitudinal direction, while being relatively rigid under the influence of forces in the vehicle transverse direction. The spring member is constructed so as to be elastic crosswise to the direction of vehicle travel for correcting for the effects of lateral and peripheral forces on a wheel of the vehicle.

Rear axle suspension

A device for the reduction of vibration on a rigid supporting pipe disposed longitudinally between an engine and a drive unit and surrounding a drive shaft is formed by connecting the supporting pipe to a suppressing mass through the intermediary of one or more elastic damping elements.

Device for reduction of bending vibrations

An arrangement for the mounting support of a drive unit of a motor vehicle which consists of an internal combustion engine with a clutch, of at least one change-speed transmission and of an axle gear, whereby preferably the change-speed transmission together with the axle gear is combined into a rear drive unit provided in the rear section of the vehicle and a tubular support member disposed in the vehicle longitudinal direction connects with each other the front drive unit consisting of the engine and the clutch with the rear drive unit; the internal combustion engine arranged in the front section of the vehicle is also drivingly connected with the rear drive unit by way of a drive shaft arranged on the inside of the tubular support member; the internal combustion engine together with the clutch, the tubular support member and the rear drive unit are thereby fastened at the vehicle body, frame or the like by way of elastic members which are mounted within the areas of low vibrations of the aggregates of the drive unit and are retained at least in part within mounting supports that are form-rigid yet vibration and oscillation damping.
