A cable conduit for distribution panels in network technology is provided comprising a first section for fastening and a second section for guiding cables, in which the first section is embodied such that the cable conduit, seen in the plug-in direction(s) of the distribution panel, can be arranged in front of a distribution panel such that the first section is arranged at a first part of the cable conduit and the second section is arranged at least partially at a second part of the cable conduit, which can be separated from the first part of the cable conduit and after the separation can be reconnected to the first part of the cable conduit, as well as a distribution panel comprising such a cable conduit.

A covering for a plug and socket connection mounted in a housing is provided with a cover that covers the plug and socket connection in closed position and which is pivotable from the closed position into an open position in which it releases the plug and socket connection. The cover is mounted pivotable at a guide component. The guide component is mounted displaceable in a receptacle of the housing. In its open position, the cover is aligned with the guide component and can be inserted together with it into the receptacle.

Disclosed is a plug for shielded data cables, in particular an RJ45 plug, having an electrically conducting housing, which can be assembled from a first shell and a second shell. An electrically insulating plug body accommodates plug contacts. A printed circuit board, which can be inserted into the housing, bears the plug contacts and insulation displacement contacts and conductively connects them to one another. The printed circuit board is insulated from the housing by a non-conducting foil. The wires of the data cable to be connected can be inserted into a loading piece, wherein the wires are accommodated in two planes one above the other in the loading piece. The data cable can be mounted in the loading piece and the second shell. When the shells are assembled, the insulation displacement contacts make contact with the wires of the data cable which are accommodated in the loading piece.

A coupling with two sleeves facing in opposite directions for the plugs of two shielded data cables that are to be connected to each other is in particular configured as an RJ 45 coupling. A printed circuit board () carries a contact assembly for each of the sleeves and connects the corresponding contacts () with each other. Two partial shells () made of an electrically insulating material envelop and hold the printed circuit board (). An electrically conductive housing () is essentially U-shaped, with its longitudinal axis extending in the plug-in direction of the sleeves. The partial shells (), together with the printed circuit board () they envelop, are insertable in the housing () as modules and can be attached firmly in the housing (). An electrically conductive sheet metal cover () covers the modules on the open side of the housing () and engages with molded contacting prongs () in the sleeves for the purpose of contacting the shields of the plugs inserted into the sleeves.

A distribution panel, especially for data transmission networks, is described with a shaped rail, with jacks attached to the shaped rail, the plug receptacles of the jacks being arranged on the front next to one another, and with mounting tabs for cables guided along the rear to the jacks. The shaped rail has a receiving groove along its rear longitudinal edge. A support extending essentially over the entire length of the shaped rail can thus be inserted into this groove and attached to the shaped rail in such a way that the top surface of the support plate is in a plane essentially parallel to the shaped rail. The support plate has mounting tabs for the cables.
