Method for cash card payment in a payment station for debit and credit cards. The invention is characterised in that the cash card () comprises a processor and is caused to store a unique identity associated with a money amount, which exists at a money institution (), such as a central bank, or which is caused to be transferred from a bank account or the corresponding, to the money institution, in that the transferred amount is caused to be stored on the cash card (), in that the amount lacks a connection to the proprietor of the cash card except via the said identity, in that, at payment using the cash card (), the amount to be paid is caused to be transferred, together with the said identity, from the cash card () to a payment terminal () comprising the said payment station, in that the payment terminal () is caused to store the paid amount together with the said identity and that a remaining amount after payment is counted down on the cash card and is stored on the cash card, and in that the payment terminal () is caused to activate the money institution () to transfer, using the identity, the amount to be paid using the cash card () to an account () belonging to the point of sale where the payment terminal () is located.

Method for payment with cash card

A method of authorizing a key or lock device comprises the following steps: a first user device and a first system device used in a first level of a lock system, such as at a manufacturer, are created. A first encryption key is stored in the first user device and the first system device. When the user device is to be shipped to a second level of the lock system, such as a locksmith, an authentication process is carried out between the first user device and the first system device using the first encryption key stored therein. In case the authentication process was successful, a software operation is carried out by the first system device, by which the first encryption key stored in the first user device is replaced by a second encryption key. This second encryption key is stored in second system and user devices used in the second level of the lock system, thereby making the first user device operable with the second system and user devices. This prevents unauthorized use of keys and locks.

Key and lock device

A key and lock device comprises a key having a first electronic circuit and a lock having a second electronic circuit. The key and the lock store secret information, some of which is unique for each device. The key and the lock exchange a random number through connectors and perform a calculation in the respective circuitry based on the random number and secret information. An electrical blocking mechanism is moved to a non-blocking position if a comparison of the calculations in the circuits gives the correct result.

A method of configuring a lock system comprising a plurality of lock system devices comprises the following steps: defining a plurality of command and status messages, wherein each of the messages has a specific function when received by a device, defining a plurality of device types, wherein each of the types can send predetermined command and status messages, sending a claiming message from each device, wherein the claiming message from a specific device comprises information relating to the predetermined messages that the specific device can send, and storing, in each of the devices, the information relating to the predetermined messages that every other device can send. By this method, a simple lock system can be set up without involvement of the person installing the system. A lock system and a lock system device using this method are also provided.

Lock system, lock system device and method of configuring a lock system

A key and lock device comprises a key and a standalone lock. The key has an electronic circuitry with a first memory and a contact. The lock has electronic circuitry with a memory, and a contact arranged to co-operate with the key's first contact. A blocking mechanism is adapted to block operation of the lock unless an authorized key is inserted in the lock. The memory of the key stores a public identification item of the key identifying a group of keys having identical mechanical codes. In the memory of the lock, there is provided a list of the public and secret identification items of authorized keys and a list of the public identification item of non-authorized keys. A key is authorized if the public and secret identification items are present in the list of authorized keys and the public identification item thereof is absent in the list of non-authorized keys.
