A device and a method for determining states of an object to be monitored, such as a window or a door. The measurement values of a plurality of sensors, in particular a magnetometer and an acceleration sensor, are merged and are evaluated together. For the determination of a new state from a group of predefined states, only state transitions that are actually possible are taken into account. State transitions that are not possible or are not allowed are not taken into account.

Device and method for determining a state of an object which is to be monitored

An acceleration sensor has a substrate, a seismic mass and a detection unit. The seismic mass is configured to be deflected based on an external acceleration acting on the acceleration sensor, the deflection being in the form of a deflection motion with respect to the substrate along a deflection direction. The detection unit is configured to be deflected for the detection of a deflection of the seismic mass, the detection being in the form of a detection motion with respect to the substrate along a detection direction. The detection unit is connected to the seismic mass in such a way that the amplitude of the deflection motion along the deflection direction is greater than the amplitude of the detection motion along the detection direction.

Acceleration sensor and method for operating an acceleration sensor

A sensor device includes a base plate, a seismic mass having an upper side and a lower side that is situated such that given acceleration of the base plate the seismic mass is capable of being displaced in a direction oriented non-parallel to the upper side and/or to the lower side, at least one raised stop on the seismic mass, and a detection and evaluation device that is adapted to acquire a displacement movement of the seismic mass relative to the base plate and, taking into account the displacement movement, to determine an item of information relating to an acceleration of the sensor device and/or to a force acting on the sensor device, the seismic mass having at least one resilient area that includes the at least one stop and at least one displaceable remaining area, and the resilient area being connected to the remaining area via at least one spring.
