A loom frame comprises side wall assemblies (9) on the narrow sides of the loom (1) and cross-members (13-16) interconnecting the side wall assemblies (9) and extending parallel to the long sides of the loom. The side walls (9) of the frame (8) are each in at least two parts (10, 11) secured to one another by at least one connecting bar (12). The same side wall parts (10, 11), but different connecting bars (12), flanges (121, 122, 125) and rests (123, 124) can be used to construct different loom frames. Different frames can therefore be produced at reasonable manufacturing costs from just a few variable parts.

The reed dents for the reed of a jet weaving machine have recesses on their forward edges for guiding and beating-up the weft thread, and they are given a bend along their longitudinal extent so as to incline toward the fell of the fabric. The inclined upper half of the reed inclines forwardly and, when the batten is in its rearmost position, the upper reed cap is closer to the fell of the cloth than is the case when reed dents of known configuration are employed. Consequently, the harnesses can be positioned closer to the fell, with the result that the harness stroke is reduced and it becomes feasible to increase the r.p.m. of the weaving machine.

The present invention covers a loom having means for introducing the filling threads by fluid with the means for introducing the filling threads having a comb of parallel channel forming blades to form a guide channel for the fluid, the channel forming blades arranged on the side of the reed facing the fell of the cloth.

The present invention relates to devices for use in a loom for fluid insertion of the filling yarn, the loom having a reed, each of whose teeth defines a bulge with the opening of the bulge facing the fell of the cloth being woven to provide for better beat-up, all of said bulges together forming a guide channel for the passage of fluid which serves for the insertion of the filling yarn.
