A medical pump, in particular an infusion pump for conveying a medium, includes a seating for a hose clamp which is separate from the pump and arranged on the hose. Two clamping portions of the hose clamp which can be moved relative to each other can be transferred into a closed relative position in which they pinch off the hose arranged therebetween in such a manner that it is not possible for any medium to flow through the interior of the hose. Moreover, the clamping portions can be moved with respect to each other into an opened relative position in which the hose arranged between the clamping portions is not pinched off, so that the medium is able to flow through the interior of the hose. The pump is distinguished in that a sensor is provided thereon, in particular in the seating for the hose clamp, which sensor detects at least when the hose clamp is received in the seating&#x2014;whether their clamping portions are in the closed or opened relative position.

A medical fluid pump, comprising a first, inner fluid system including a motor-driven suction/pressure unit and a first fluid pressure chamber which can be filled with fluid and emptied by the suction/pressure unit, and a second, outer fluid system including a second fluid pressure chamber which is coupled to the first pressure chamber in a pressure- and/or volume-dynamic manner via a movable separating wall and which is alternately coupled&#x2014;via a valve means of the second fluid system&#x2014;to a suction line and pressure line depending on the current working phase of the suction/pressure unit of the first fluid system is disclosed.

The device includes an advancing means including an advancing slide, an advancing spindle and a multi-part advancing spindle nut having at least one radially movable nut shell, and a blocking means adapted to be automatically triggered by a control sensor for blocking an infeed motion of the drive head in which the advancing slide is drivable by the advancing spindle nut at the advancing spindle and in which the drive head is arranged at the advancing slide, wherein the blocking means adapted to be automatically triggered by a control sensor includes the multi-part advancing spindle nut for blocking the infeed motion of the drive head on the advancing spindle.

Modules, systems, and methods for enabling wireless functionality in electronic devices are disclosed. A module comprises a housing, a plurality of module terminals, a wireless transmitter, a first electronic component, and a power source. The housing is sized to be removably inserted in a power source receptacle of the electronic device. The plurality of module terminals contact a corresponding plurality of device terminals of the electronic device. The first electronic component is operable to receive outbound device data from the electronic device via the module terminal and transmit the outbound device data using the wireless transmitter. The power source is operable to provide power to the electronic device. The method comprises inserting a module in the power source receptacle of the electronic device, receiving outbound device data from the electronic device, and transmitting the outbound device data using the wireless transmitter.

Systems and methods for enabling wireless functionality in electronic devices

For automatic supply of an active substance to a patient's body ( ) the supply rate (R) of an infusion pump ( ) is evaluated. Infusion device comprising a plurality of infusion pumps

A medical pump device having a hose pump and a replaceable pump hose and provided with a reading means that reads a code mounted on the pump hose. The code corresponds to the deviation of the delivery volume of the individual hose from the set delivery volume. In dependence on the coding signals, the control signals for the pump drive are corrected so that defined delivery rates are obtained even with in wide hose tolerances.

Medical pump device

A pressure sensor for determining the pressure of a medium in an elastic hose section. A pressure member acts on a unilaterally fixed bar carrying an influencing member at its free end. This influencing member is a core of a coil arrangement, the position of the core changing the frequencies of the oscillator coils. Numerous pressure values are received at regular intervals and, subsequently, a representative pressure value is obtained by averaging.

A dialytic apparatus for single-needle dialysis comprises a first pump in the artery conduit, which first pump in the first phase conveys blood from the patient into the expansion chamber while the vein conduit is shut off. At the same time, the second pump transports blood from the expansion chamber to the dialyzer. This regulation is performed in dependence from the pressure in the vein conduit so that the pressure decrease caused by ultrafiltration is counterbalanced. In the second phase, the first pump stands still and closes the artery conduit while the second pump conveys blood out of the expansion chamber to the dialyzer at a constant rate.

Dialytic apparatus

The dialysis equipment has a dialysate path connectable to a dialysate source 1, and contains a feed pump 6, a dialyzer 10, and a controlled suction pump 13. During the operative phase, this dialysate path is traversed by the dialysate with a constant negative pressure being maintained in the dialysate chamber 101 of the dialyzer 10 relative to the blood chamber 102. In a subsequent measuring phase, the dialysate path is cut off from the dialysate source 1 and from a drain 15 via a valve device 2, 14. The same negative pressure is maintained in the dialysate chamber 101 as in the operative phase. The ultrafiltrate passing from the blood chamber 102 into the dialysate chamber 101 during the measuring phase causes the filling of a volume measuring device 5.

Dialysis equipment

An apparatus for hemodiafiltration that maintains the blood concentration of the patient relatively constant. A pump is connected to a branch off the external flow path of the dialysator which pumps fluid to the circulation system of the patient to compensate for the patient's fluid loss through the hemodiafilter membrane. A suction pump which affects the transmembrane pressure across the hemodiafilter membrane is controlled to achieve the desired filtrate flow necessary to balance the return flow to the patient.
